if you're looking for a good game:

http://www.spacesofplay.com/category/spirits/

http://vimeo.com/16706258

it's a handmade indie game based on the Lemmings concept, i'm friends with one of the devs hence ima promoting it. But it's also really good, raving reviews all around.

this is so awesome! it is one of the best games currently on the platform. do you know more like this?

haven't found the time to play games lately...

you can certainly help spacesofplay keep developing great games by spreading the word/leaving a comment etc... :]

they were working on this for about a year in a small team, and as it looks now are just so about to break even on costs / time spent / other resources... so i wouldn't be too surprised if there weren't many good games with a love for detail like this, simply because the indie game business doesn't pay very well, even within the app store candy-based app ecosystem..

apps i've bought recently:

reckless racing - impressive graphics/physics, also the only ipad game i've played online so far, which was fun. 3/5

infinity blade - haven't spent much time on this one yet, but it looks pretty cool, and i like how you can lvl up/upgrade your character. 4/5

jenga hd - 2/5

the phaidon design classics - 5/5

video stream - lets me stream xvid and hd .mkv flawlessly from my computer to my ipad.

Some people have mentioned Osmos but none have done it justice. It has music by Loscil, Biosphere, and more.

A good music app is synthpond. It's a spatially dependent sequencer complete with colorful, minimal design and assignable orbital cycles. Guess I like apps with orbit.

pitch and scratch works. also eqs, fx and loops. you can also add your mp3s from itunes on the fly. pre-listening is currently not supported due to os restrictions.

looks good, like that you've got Clark on the table!

yeah I really like to see cover-art on a turntable spinning. Its the first app that kind of delivers that in a conclusive way. sure the functions are not as good as traktor and other professional DJ tools but hey these are 300 times more expensive so its pretty nice to have it

Tonetable DJ App

Simulates a timecode to control Traktor Scratch/Serato/Torq

http://www.inklen.com/tonetable/

although the concept of this is awesome, don't you still need the audio interface that all the timecode dj apps require? kind of defeats the purpose.

I assume the audio interface is there to get the signal from timecode vinyls into your computer. by using this via wifi you don't need this interface anymore as its basically sending a midi signal to traktor running on your computer

WhatsApp: you can text, send pics and vids to whoever's got it for freeeeee! Essential when you have friends living abroad.

Viber: you can CALL whoever has got it for freeeeewwweewweewweeee (a bit like skype but without the need to register anywhere - and be spammed for the rest of your life)! Also essential when you have friends living abroad. The App is also free.

I want you to be right, but I'm not sure if that's true. From the inklen site:

tt_diagram.jpg

Minimum Requirements

Hardware

iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

Audio cable

Audio interface1

Software

iPhone OS 3.1.2

Digital vinyl system (e.g. Scratch LiveTM, Traktor ScratchTM, etc)

1 Several digital vinyl systems require specific hardware for control tone input. For example, the Native Instruments Audio 8 DJ for Traktor Scratch Pro.

ah thats interesting so it emulates the control tone input. I was just confused as touchOSC works via wifi for example

Yeah, if it worked as a stand alone controller, I would be all over it. Using the iPhone/Pad as a vinyl controller is actually way better than the low end numark controllers and the like that don't have motorized jog wheels.

Sampletoy is a lot of fun.

As for games, lots of stuff already mentioned here although this has been eating my time lately. Kind of like the original game meets the rez.

i can make beats with this? I need a free app with something similar to beatmaker

Wow, really surprised nobody's mentioned BeatWave yet - Gorillaz used it (amongst other iPad/Pod/Phone apps) to do their latest album...

Angry Birds + Fruit Ninja

Veggie Samurai is much better (gameplay and graphics-wise)

Words with Friends HD is great (although Alzado keeps beating me, LOL) Joy Rex on WWF if anyone wants to play me...
