i still use it. i only use bittorrent if i want a collection of albums by an artist at once ( and they are popular enough to be on bt...)

Yup... I need mah qualities... If I can't find a discography in at least 320, I go with Soulseek :cool:

so im stuck with a macbook for a few weeks until i can buy a new pc, is it possible to get soulseek on mac? tried ssx but it doesnt seem to work.

I'm on PC and have only tried nicotine, it seems like a more over the top version of soulseek to me

Soulseek still does the trick for the occasional quick fix of either a rare release or a single track etcetera. I never hung out in the chat rooms anyway. The server hasn't changed in ages I think, not since the "NS" client, either way I haven't updated my client in years and it works perfectly.

 

I don't stay online queueing stuff for extended periods of time anymore though, too many "No files shared." bums these days so you have to monitor the upload queue actively, and ban the fuckers.
