I have to say legit, I did some research on this some time ago, the Aphex stamp was seen around that time as he is lazy and why not stamp your autograph? I actually bought one of these several years ago on ebay for about 1/5 of what this auction winner paid. I dug up the auction info as I save my purchase history for reference and what not. The one I bought was over 6 years ago and it is exactly the same as this one. They were supposedly handed out at the Disobey set. Here is the info from that auction, it's basically an excerpt from an interview:

In 1994, Richard James (Aphex Twin) was invited to ‘dj’ at Club Disobey at The Garage, London:

"It started off at a club called Disobey, around the corner from where I live...They asked me to DJ, but since I couldn't really play any records, I just played some sandpaper. Thought that would be a good laugh. They really got into it and invited me to go to America to do it again. It was only supposed to be a one-off, but they wanted to pay me and take my friends, so I did it. I just mixed some sandpaper together for a bit and then played a food mixer and threw it at someone. I hit the bloke on the head, and I thought I would get sued for that, but he wanted me to sign it afterward. He said, 'I will keep this food mixer forever.'"

This plain black envelope with sticker contains two sheets of sandpaper. They were handed out to patrons of Club Disobey on that first night. Only 200 sets were produced for the occasion. The envelope has been opened and is therefore ripped at the top edge, but is otherwise in good condition.

Hours of fun – practice on a friend’s decks first.

Joyrex should have one of these

It would be hard for me to actually pay money for something like this.

Besides, the real treasure is the mixer itself - didn't that get eBayed a while back?

I went from pissed off, to relieved - and now back to pissed off that I didn't win this auction.

Been there before when bidding and wondering if an item is legit  It does seem to be EXTREMELY rare if real, how many of these were even saved? I'd imagine a lot of them just got tossed away, finding these in great condition is an even a bigger surprise.
