The BBC and Channel 4 for example have produced some wonderful documentaries (they've also produced some terrible ones). I started looking at the VICE documentaries more critically after their documentary on North Korea (Vice Guide to North Korea). It's very much just an example of saying "ooh look how different these people are if we look at them through a particular lens." Its just a nerdy frame glasses dude going around saying everything is because of corruption, extremely accusatory but presents no direct evidence of any kind to support his 'conclusions'. it's very odd.
