What act are you referring to?

I don't think it's supposed to be public yet. Usually I don't like to be an elitist/privileged information teaser, but I couldn't help myself/contain my excitement.

N O?

it's Muslimgauze's thrice-removed cousin, who inherited all the gear when MG died in "suspicious circumstances" (read: assassination). he will play electropsychoacousticalambidronoise peppered with distorted samples of McDonalds jingles and Gaddafi's house being bombed by US warplanes.

Hmmm... I'm pretty curious about it awepitance. I loved WITTR since their first lp, i saw them twice live, they're truly great & judging from this track, the new album sounds really good. i really like that mix of ambient synths & metal chords/mood. Cant wait to taste this new record.

This new track is the fucking don! Even though I posted it up ages ago, my laptop soundcard is buggered so I haven't been able to listen to much, if anything

Double clear vinyl is up for pre-order only. Bam!!

I hadn't really given Celestite Mirror a good listen until now. It's much more engaging than a lot of similarly minded stuff coming out right today. WITTR can do no wrong in my book.

For me, this album is brilliant. For Pitchfork (my daily 20 second quest, was just fulfilled) it rates as a pitiful 4 point something or other. Which is cool with me (or maybe not heh)

If I had the time and money, I'd check out all the albums they give low scores to, because whatever those guys hate I'd probably really like.

Makes me really laugh when a fucknut journo from Rich Dork starts complaining about people who suffer pretentious attitudes. The irony of that sentiment lol.

I remember bumping into somebody once who, looked me up and down and actually said "You're not supposed to of even heard of Pitchfork!". Like I don't somehow fit the fucking bill. Like I had somehow offended them that such a normal looking bloke like myself goes there. You fucking cunts.

Rant over.

PS I am sober.

So they named their last album Celestial Lineage, and the new album Celestite with a track named Celestite Mirror...

We get it WITTR, you're ethereal as fvck, sheesh

Not so impressed with this album. And I love WITTR and drone/ambient. I love the fact that they said "fuck it" and made an all-ambient album. I really do. I'd wish more bands to do stuff like this, doing something out of their style, fuck what the fanbase might think. But I just don't like the effort and approach they did. Maybe I would get into it more with repeated listens, I don't know. Some parts made me think "Why am I listening to this while I can just listen to Tangerine Dream instead"?

Maybe I'm not sounding fair, but I do think that if this was the first album they ever released, nobody would give a fuck about them.

But maybe I'm just a deaf clueless schmuck or whatever.

i was expecting more electronic/synth Wolves in the throne room vibes from the live show (especially because they chose nommo to open) but it was fairly straight forward black metal stuff with subtle synth work layered in the background. Not what i was expecting based on the new lp
