I've recently been made redundant. so i've a number of plans/ideas one of which is to look at organising a night. this is a swamped market with everyone battling for your money. i'm going to spend months researching and organising this. i've had some good feedback from some djs for a acid night. but in time i would look to put something on every three months. a different theme for each night so i would be looking at a acid night to start with. a glitch/electronica night, breakcore night, drum n bass/jungle night etc etc etc this is going to take time i know there is interest out there for this but i am looking to do this up north. i'm from huddersfield/halifax…

Melt Yourself Down - Live

Melt Yourself Down is the sound of Cairo ’57, Cologne ’72, New York ’78, London 2013. A riot of colour and noise, they rip the heart from the remains of Acoustic Ladyland and deliver it to the party, still beating. Reanimated with intense, sweaty funk, uplifting horns and blistering Nubian drums, this tightly drilled unit make their live debut at Queen Of Hoxton on October 18. Six musical heavyweights with more energy than the sun. Ancient and modern, and dirtier than you want to know. Recordings will follow. Just you wait. Tickets are available at http://www.soundcras...-yourself-down/ Melt Yourself Down is: Pete Wareham (Acoustic Ladyland, Polar Bear) Shab…

DJ Yoda Live - November 10th, HMV Forum
by Guest soundcrash- 0 replies

DJ Yoda has a knack for turning rooms full of perfectly calm and civilised people into a heaving mass of happy, sweaty, partied-out folk. Combining a well-honed beat-heavy DJ set with tongue in cheek visuals mixed live with the music on a cinema-sized screen, DJ Yoda assaults your senses with a killer combination of good humour and infectious party music. Unbeatable in this terrain, DJ Yoda truly is one of the “ten DJs to see before you die” (Q Magazine). Expect surprise guests – last time round he had a b reakdancing magician, a hip hop comedy improv duo and a full-on Balkan brass band making appearances – and the quality of supports you’ve come to expect from a Sou…
