  1. EvoAva Sounds like some generic dubstep moniker.
  2. He has a ton on the back burner. I still find it crazy how he's decided to release stuff just in the past year or so... and for non-monetary reasons when for many years before he was saying the only reason for release was monetary.
  3. That 7 month nostalgia.
  4. I have listen to your tracks above previously. I must now how in the work you're getting all these field samples, there are tons of them. Maybe I should watch documentaries more or something?
  5. beatstrep sounds interesting. Perhaps you should continue working on it. focusing more on drum work.
  6. It's up again. My apologies Brisbot, you're a real-talker. I should have never doubted you. It's okay Carl, I'd have doubted it in the same situation too! Anyway, I'm happy he's doing this! Definitely going to treat these playlist like official albums. That's just me though.
  7. I'm just happy another dive into the cyberpunk genre is coming, even though that possible future doesn't seem to be a possibility anymore (optimist)
  8. So, for 30 seconds, literally, Richard posted a playlist called 'Saw 1 era mellow', went to like it, DENIED :) maybe he's revising!
  9. Well, that shouldn't be hard since they could just say it was a byproduct of being his model of replicant. If it takes place a few years after, then his model ages rapidly, if it takes place 30 years after, his model ages normally. Etc. I have the suspicion that the next movie won't focus on him though, since he originally said he wasn't sure if he was going to be in the movie after reading the script.
  10. Nevermind, Ridley scott didn't write the sequel? How good is this Denis character? I haven't seen anything by him. According to wiki he's won awards.
  11. Yeah man, just 20-30 more.. then 20-30 more tomorrow... then 20-30 more tomorrow. then 20-30 more tomorrow...I can stop when I want to!
  12. So it looks like those sources are correct, that there may very well be twice-three times as much uploaded! Definitely not the Richard of 2001 that's for sure. Yep. alright. Strange how I remember the name but nothing else about it.
  13. Just wondering why "Lannerlog" is ringing a bell? (not lannerlush, that rings 0 bells) http://forum.watmm.com/topic/40490-inscribed-yamaha-cs-5/ troll? edit: might just be the name of one of his studios?
  14. I'm sure they have FlyLo vs Aphex charts in their office ;)
  15. It's a damn good album. It was my first Aphex album and clicked immediately. I was VERY surprised to find out that he also made stuff like 4 when I heard it, most artists seem to make a certain kind of music and have a certain sound, but aphex has a new one for every release. It's also unique in that no one has really emulated it. People have emulated parts of Tuss (cept Death Fuck) and Analord (like wholly, not sure how much there is left to discover with this sound), but no one I've heard has 'emulated' HAB, RDJ, Druqks, and I guess Syro.. AND I GUESS the Acoustic Instruments. Damn, maybe Druqks isn't so unique after all. Heh. Okay as a side note, I'd like to see people tackle HAB. That has to be the most unique music he's done.
  16. Oh my god. I WISH SO MUCH. Thing is many of those grammy peoples are aware of this kind of music so it wouldn't phase them I bet.
  17. one ear is clogged, the other is super sensitive And the tracks you/Zeffolia mentioned don't sound similar to me really.. less similar than the tracks I posted. Similar sounds sure, but very different approaches. So no bite.
  18. Don't tell me Rush ain't Steinvord I'm getting a similar vibe from the start of both tracks. I imagine this has been mentioned.
  19. The sound quality is better sure, but there's something off about the quality of many of the tracks. The only track that I really love is Lyff acid, honorable mentions being Cyg x-1, Untitled 9, and Untitled. I don't really listen to the other ones much. I was joking about it being 'lesser' but it's really different to me. It might be Richard, but another thing you have to remember is that Richard has many many many released tracks at this point, so drawing a parallel between 2 tracks that are kinda similar from different artists isn't compelling enough at this point. I'll just wait until he says he did it, which I imagine he'll never do. He's admitted to The Tuss straight out, why not Steinvord? Watch me. Listen to this: Then listen to this: Don't tell me Luke Vibert ain't Aphex Twin.
  20. You're probably right, given the usual deterioration of skill with age & wealth.
  21. yeah. It sounds like how he mixes tracks before he goes crazy with them. Things are always tiny-sounding, then he beefs them up big time.
