  1. Blitzing through 2 seasons of Reservation Dogs atm. Not sure what compelled me to start watching it but I’m happy I did. A lot of Ojibwe and Lakota I met growing up always had a great sense of humor and were excellent storytellers so it’s a wonder why that sort of stuff has rarely made it on screen. Never been to the rez so it’s nice to have a show like this kinda introduce you to that world, and it was nice to hear that apparently the writers, actors and even the majority of the crew are actual natives as well. It definitely goes over the top at times but has some really endearing characters (Willie Jack is my favorite) and does a good job of throwing in some humor while also tackling some of the obviously darker shit native communities have to wrestle with. It’s not god-tier television by any means but it is a breath of fresh air compared to endless deluge of middleclass white/black American family sitcoms we’ve been bombarded with for the past half a fucking century. Felt good to have some jokes (blurred out owl eyes scene ?)and slang go over my head for once. And damn I wish I had a William Knifeman in my corner as a spirit guide sometimes.
  2. As of right now I would say yes. Definitely worth watching.
  3. The Night Of The Ambush And The Pillage By The Queen Ann Styl'd Furniture, Animated By One Of The Dozen Or So Spells That Thee Eastern Vampyre Has Studied (T.N.O.T.A.A.T.P.B.T.Q.A.S.F.A.B.O.O.T.D.O.S.S.T.T.E.V.H.S)
  4. Playing Moss books 1, and eventually 2, on the Quest. Liking it more than the PSVR version. Speaking of PSVR though the PSVR2 looks incredible, especially with the foveated rendering technology. Can’t wait to get it.
  5. Watched Ti West’s X last night. Was a big fan of House of the Devil and the Roost though I feel like Innkeepers was kinda dull. The Sacrament and that western flick I liked but wouldn’t have placed them on the same level as HOTD. X, however, is his best work yet imo. Extremely uncomfortable to watch but has great shots and really does appear to be like an unearthed horror movie gem from the late 70’s. Great shots, acting, gore, suspense, etc. Can’t wait to see this prequel.
  6. Latest HOTD episode was a discomforting watch but probably the best episode of the season thus far.
  7. Beat Stray. Liked the concept, the music was great, nice aesthetics, etc. but very light on gameplay and puzzle variety imo. 7/10
  8. ‘Twas far from pretty, but the Irish Candyman secured the victory
  9. This weekend, the Irish Candyman Sam Hyde will be fighting on KSI’s boxing ppv
  10. https://www.instagram.com/p/CcZRhhEFUJV/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= sometimes pleas made from lower-tier wrestling events do get answered. sick.
  11. Beat RE4 VR and have to say they did a great job with that though I must admit I like the indie game “What Lies Beneath” even more due to the art style, novelty, and overall creepier atmosphere it had. I beat RE 4 many years ago but there was still a lot that I remembered which lessened the impact. Bought Demeo last night and played a game with some randoms last night. Gotta say, it was great. I never played any D&D or tabletop rpg type games, so this was outstanding. Looks like it has a ton of replay value with randomized dungeon layouts and enemies with new play throughs and the devs apparently doubled their team size and have been adding more content since it’s release. Although initially a VR game it also recently got ported for PC as a couple people I was playing with last night had that version. The campaign lasted about 2.5 hours. Super fun. Hopefully the community will continue to be as non-toxic as last night’s game. I would really recommend this game to anyone who is thinking of bringing that doesn’t have much room to move around in or is worried about motion sickness as this can be played seated. Or if you’re like me you can really zoom in and walk over the map.
  12. Resident Evil 4 VR on Quest 2. It’s great, but it’s actually much easier I feel in VR because the controls are so intuitive in full immersion mode. The intensity of a large group of enemies closing in is definitely turned up and overall it looks beautiful, or at least as amazing as you can make a GameCube game look. Such an oddly satisfying and equally bizarre trip down memory lane. It’s by no means perfect, but Armature studio did an excellent job all things considered and I really hope they’re granted the option to do similar work in the future. while I was without the Quest I played Hades, which I guess was my first rogue-like. I enjoyed that quite a bit as there is progression that can be made and you have a story unfold with a ton of dialogue. Art style is really slick too. Pretty cool. also was playing Disco Elysium until the quest 2 arrived. Not sure exactly how I feel about it. The music and art style is great, it’s extremely well-written, has really interesting characters, etc. but for some reason this game just fucking drags. Just endlessly running in circles trying to piece things together. It doesn’t help that the controls and movement overall are sluggish af either. Also some of the dialogue can get pretty mundane and last a lifetime as well. Super ambitious, great voice acting, etc. but at times it can be excessive. Outside of the pace of the game it’s a very fresh and unique experience.
  13. This album really bottles the mind
  14. Huge year for boxing but nothing has captured my imagination more than the Irish Candyman himself announcing his intentions to make his official debut. 6’5” 240 lb southpaw with a Glasgow shell defense stalking down opponents.
