  1. RoboCop (1987) Hadn’t watched it in quite some time. It’s the first Rated R movie I ever saw actually at 6 years old I believe. Thanks Dad. This movie aged like wine and the dad from that 70’s show as Clarence Boddicker was so convincingly evil in this. “Bitches leave” ?
  2. Lead single on her bandcamp is pretty fucking fire, also enjoyed the “higher than thou kindergarten jams” fwiw
  3. Looks really slick and I’m not a gravel guy. Nice purchase.
  4. Premiered the HQ rip of the Barcelona EP down some new jumplines in a neighboring state en route to visiting an old friend. Ripping through some berms and flying off a shark fin in the deep woods to new AFX was a good choice ??
  5. Heard a few segments here and there. Will Sasso is underrated funny. I think it’s a really unique experiment they’ve subjected themselves to with Dudesy taking in as much data in on them as possible and must be really fucking weird to start to feel a kinship with AI if they do at all. pretty funny they got threatened with legal action from Tom Brady over this ai generated comedy set:
  6. In a public park? Does it matter where you are or what your doing?
  7. I’m just curious what importance, if any really, people place on their first listen of brand new Aphex Twin material? Does the sound quality matter? What about the setting? I’m finding lately that with any musicians that I really like I try to wait until I have a high quality format of the music, some good headphones or speakers, but most importantly I like to be outside in nature on the mountain bike, on a hike, or a road trip, and most preferably somewhere new. I’ve definitely done my fair share of just F5ing until the shittiest rip becomes available and relistening multiple times over but kinda regret it. As far as situations I definitely do NOT want to listen to a new song in its 1) being at work and 2) reading over comments about the song on the video/forum. Not trying to fire shots passive aggressively with that last statement and sorry for my sperg’d out rant. Just genuinely curious what your preferred way of the first listen is like.
  8. As nice as anyone could be about it, even going as far as to donate to their cause. It’s all fuck you get canceled die and no forgiveness out there right now unfortunately.
  9. Wonder if all this activity is also gonna result in some more jokes getting unleashed under the William Montgomery moniker?
  10. Finally gave Black Box a few listens. Got out on the bike riding through the forest, beside the river. Pretty song with a melody and chords that feel like they were plucked from the SAW 85-92 era mixed with Syro-y percussion. I feel like I was in the perfect setting to appreciate it. Seemed really pleasant and calming out in nature. Then I got in the car and pulled up the ambient mix. Not sure why but that shit sounded depressing af ? gonna stick with the original.
  11. Broke down and ordered the clear vinyl from the Aphex store directly. When factoring in the shipping it came out to $35. Immediately realized after clicking ‘complete order’ that it’s being sent to my old address. Pretty stoked.
  12. Hell yeah. New brutality as well. Nice to hear Nathan Explosion expanding his vocal range on this one.
  13. as far as I’m concerned at this point the Aphex Twins are: Richard D. James and Weirdcore. The reigning, defending, audio visual tag team champions of the world. But in all seriousness this guy’s album artwork, music videos and especially the visuals provided at the live shows are a big part of current gen ‘Phex in my opinion.
  14. Loved this show. So glad to see they’re coming back for a new movie
  15. Haven’t heard anything outside of the looping audio on the QR code generated AR black box. Trying to wait for the release so I can hear it all in full quality.
  16. Just realized I ordered the digital 4 Track from bandcamp when I should’ve grabbed it from the Aphex store. I fucked up.
  17. Imagine the rage that would’ve overswept watmm had there been the Japanese bonus track included on their vinyl after everyone had already ordered theirs.
  18. Still haven’t listened to anything. The artwork is oddly satisfying to look at. But just to clarify a 4 track EP is in the chamber along with a Barcelona exclusivo vinyl with two other songs on it? If we’re getting hit with 6 new tracks right now my levels of merriment will increase substantially.
  19. The PSVR Wipeout Omega Collection was mind-blowing. Not sure if the soundtrack was the same though (it included 3 different wipeout games). Not recommended for beginners though ?
