  1. Lol, I originally had included a paragraph about everybody and their aunt Gretchen hating that car. I partly want it just to piss people off and partly because I do really like it. I don't really care about cars, that one's the only one I've ever really wanted. Also, if you squint very hard, it looks a teensy bit like a stormtrooper's helmet from the back, which is always a plus in my book. The dust would actially help me find it in the dark of my cavernous, dimly lit parking garage (to be acquired with the house).
  2. I had it in my jacket pocket, which even has a zipper, but I hadn't closed it fully and must have pushed it out with the pedaling motion of my very muscular left leg. Anyway, the point being that Sony makes very well-built stuff.
  3. Yeah, it's quality gear that's often a bit overlooked but really, really well-made. I recently dropped my WM1A while biking. Was going pretty fast too. It dropped from about waist-high and landed on the street, and there was hardly a scratch on it. Screen was completely intact too. But I think it chipped the asphalt a little, lol.
  4. Yeah, my first thought was, fuck it, I'm too lazy for that. Then again ... ... this does indeed look scrumptious.
  5. 1. A BMW X6 in vantablack. 2. Central underfloor heating in all of the house. 3. A house. Not necessairily in that order. Also, this was an aspirational object of mine for quite a while, and then I put my own midlife crisis to good use and just splurged on it (McIntosh and Avantgarde Acoustics be fucked).
  6. Just to complete the media trias, Houellebecq's book on him, Against the World, Against Life, is tops as well. But who reads, right?
  7. "Related articles: French Toast". Lol. I urge everyone who hasn't seen it yet to watch American Factory. Brilliant docu that shows why the West is lost and we will all be pwned by China. (Tl;dw: We're just a bunch of silly, undisciplined manchildren against a country full of well-trained, wiry soldiers who will have us for breakfast.) It's on Netflix, go watch it now.
  8. Nowadays, "lovecraftian" mostly just means "you don't see the monsters". ? Anyway, would be interesting to hear what the ol' racist would have thought of Lovecraft Country ...
  9. Speaking of which, are you in any way related to @kieselguhr kid?
  10. I sympathize with this sentiment. If it happens again, just PM me, and I will then quote your post and your post only so you can like my post which will in effectu be your own post. P.S. Please award this post a Farnsworth, ty.
  11. That might have been a little premature ...
  12. Yeah, I remember being underwhelmed as well, as is often the case with those larger-than-life "scandal" films whose titles are merely whispered. It doesn't help that yesterday's shock value hardly raises any eyebrows today. In a way, I guess, 2 Girls 1 Cup killed Salò. Same with The Last Tango in Paris for example. I do remember enjoying La Grande Bouffe a bit more, that one was actually quite entertaining.
  13. Lol. I saw that as part of some uni course, in the local cinema even, but strangely, I don't remember much of it. Might be time for a rewatch.
  14. I heard it comes with Taylor Swift in the trunk ?
  15. I don't think the virus is in the boat; in this metaphor it's probably the sea that is being conquered by the stalwart ship on the hand and, a bit more shakily, the surfboard-and-umbrella dude on the other hand.
  16. No, that's why you would use an iPhone. Without wanting to derail the thread, which Walkman do you have, if you don't mind sharing? WM1A? (Sorry, just always interested in gear.)
  17. Well, at least it was down for 19 h during that time, which should work in your favor. Still, there's a lesson for you in there.
  18. I haven't checked on the NTS flacs, but mp3tag has never let me down.
  19. Yeah, it's pretty heavy for a non-contact sport, lol. Can't wait for the next couple episodes tonight; more Rodman to come, apparently, which should be entertaining.
  20. Yeah, me too, just watched the first three episodes back to back. I'm not into sports at all, and unfortunately I live in a country where fucking soccer is considered the national sport, but basketball is the only sport I ever found exciting to watch. In any case, I know excellence when I see it, and man, that Michael Jordan could play ball. So yeah, enjoying this and giong to continue watching it.
  21. She looks a bit shallow to me.
  22. Huh, I really liked S02 of The Walking Dead, thought it was one of the better S02's of my life actually. I liked the closed setting and that old duder. And the thing with the little girl. You know. That whole season helped me to get my girl on board who usually won't touch anything remotely horror-related with a twenty-foot pole. Watched it once and then once more with her. It's wholesome fun for all the family.
  23. IDEM

    Drexciya

TBH, I see it mainly as a means to transfer some cash to JS's family and receive a little token for it.
  24. Leather isn't really breathable though, is it?
