  1. Yeah that's a ridic amount of money to spend on a device that is in all likelihood going to get dropped and cracked within 1 month of purchase.
  2. Wow that's seriously humbling. Thanks for taking the time to put into words what my snapshots come across for you as! A lot of my urban stuff is exactly that - stuff that I either walk past or go by on a regular basis, or stuff I stumble upon whilst exploring areas I haven't been to before. Most of the stuff I posted today is from my walk around the Liverpool Uni campus, which has some nice concrete structures. The last one I posted really grabbed my attention as a "scene", with that wheelie bin just left in the middle of the road, and I liked the interplay of the colours (the blue of the bin, the yellows of the road markings, and the graff on the doors). I really appreciate your comments regarding the sense of depth with my colour work - it's the kind of comment that makes me think maybe a jump to medium format film would definitely be worthwhile. Gonna have to save up a while before that happens though. For now, I'm still extremely happy with the results I'm getting with my current setup. It's incredibly rewarding to read that my work has inspired you to take more notice of the everyday mundane areas you and others pass through. Thank you so much.
  3. Nope, everything is handheld. I bought a monopod years ago, and I've used it like twice.
  4. Perhaps the pre-orders are lower than the estimated figure, and they risk not covering production costs: this happens because they sell the items at too low cost. They should try to raise it up a bit. Try 250£ Worf! Inconceivable
  5. Looks like Instagram have stopped direct linking to image URLs for new uploads, so I'm having to revert back to using Flickr.
  6. Yeah because Worf Records are gonna cancel the most expensive Autechre release in history.
  7. I lucked out getting that photo shoot gig, but I didn't ask for too much. In the end, she ended up paying me a bit more than I asked for, which is cool since I guess she was really pleased with the images. But yeah, photography certainly in this day and age, doesn't pay much at all and that's if you're getting paid in the first place. You gotta be doing it for the love. Same with music though, so...
  8. I still haven’t heard any of this. My first listen will be on the vinyl format.
  9. Definitely agree, Hello World is my fave out of those two. Would love to put it in my DJ set for Emotion Wave at the end of the month
  10. @michael Jackson - nice compositions, as darrei has mentioned! Definitely post more stuff up when you feel like it. @darrei - thanks loads. This constant heat and harsh sun makes it really difficult for me to shoot in, because I prefer moodier lighting. This harsh sunlight just casts harsh shadows and I'm not usually into that kind of thing. However there are some occasions where I can get some shots in. Using slide film emulations for the colour development really helps, I find. Been using a lot of Kodak Kodachrome, Kodak Elite Chrome, and Technicolor emulations to get most of the colour work on my Instagram of late.
  11. Serious David Lynch vibes on that photo of the kid and directly below that one.
  12. auxien and jacko - very nice pics. we got aquatic aesthetics, and Twin Peaks style vibes going on.
  13. cryptowen and darreichungsform killing it as usual.
  14. Your stuff generally has a hyper real quality to it, which always looks great. Thanks, I had to hassle Mixmag to get them to credit me (hope that's not a portent with publications in general), but they fixed it within 24 hours.
  15. darreichungsform - LOVE that last shot - reminds me a lot of Russell Mills artwork, especially of the stuff he did for NIN. The colours in it are perfectly contrasting.
  16. I did a press shoot for Breakwave (local Liverpool DJ) last month, and Mixmag used some of the shots for this article about her. (click the link above for the article ofc)
  17. Cat number is a cassette, but no cassette available anywhere... :(
