  1. lol, I can imagine. I love that jam part, apparently it was made in 20 minutes! Anyway, new Legowelt ambient album on a new label: https://legowelt.bandcamp.com/album/the-occult-orientated-crime-album
  2. Even though I thought 2014 was already the best year ever in music for me, maybe it saved the best for last with EDM and now this... With #6 (even though I loved it) I was a tad worried that repetition would set in, but I'd say he has proven me wrong with this one. Fave so far is the 11th track, which is completely in the vein of a Mills melody being soaked in Colundi vibes. Dark and catchy as hell.
  3. Haha, yeah I read the Delet Manifesto For the Posting Of YT Music Videos :) just saw it as an opportunity to post some more UR in here, I actually agree with you about that Galaxy 2 Galaxy track, it's horribly cheesy, could be used in a montage in a 90's VHS documentary about the history of cauliflower in the south of Holland that you were forced to watch during geography :) Now listening to one of my fave jazz lp's in my collection, curated by Theo Parrish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-WHzwc3Qdk The cowbell in that last video is RELENTLESS! http://www.discogs.com/Theo-Parrish-Theo-Parrishs-Black-Jazz-Signature/master/627989
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfVMM8ThAeU And now that delet is posting UR in here too, their latest release is pretty jazzy again too: LoveRhino, Donald Byrd +1! And thanks for getting me into Mahavishnu Orchestra in that Squarepusher special! Have to check this list out anyway :)
  5. I'm positive it was Aphex who played Tod Dockstader, Frances Lynch, Kenneth Gaburo, Squarepusher and the other noisy bits. For some reason he's always doing that, see the Ultrasound broadcast, the Snowbombing gig and the Aphex + Hecker gigs, which was basically taking this concept further but he let Hecker do the noisey bits so he could concentrate on the ravey stuff. Besides that it's just guessing :) Aphex claimed he didn't like Hip Hop, so that makes it a bit easier too to deduct too?
  6. Thanks!!! I also finally remembered that Vibert track before SL2, Ace Of Clubs' Classid Three! I can't even describe my level of jealousness any good memories about it? Vaguely, I missed the start and I think it was also a bit crowded at the time, and my buddies at the time weren't that much into Aphex. So we went in, went back out for a while, and went back in again. So it was a bit fragmented and I couldn't absorb it properly... I barely remember much of it. One thing I remember was the screens with the visuals had the word "cabinet" flashing on it. I need to listen to the live recording properly again, haven't done that since. I checked it briefly and noticed a fews bits that I do remember. The pics could very well be of the gig. I do remember a red tent and those markings looks vaguely familiar. Bummer man! Still jealous :) Funny, for some reason I always pictured the gig as being for only a handful of people and taking place in the middle of the day in the sun. Probably because it was summer when I first heard it as a kid and I thought that nobody would listen to this type of music.
  7. So how far are they from the comic now? If not, what are they going to do next? Another evil community they come across, again? Basically I just want this show to work towards an end and cut it out. I was hoping eugene-gate was working towards that, but yeah... I'll keep watching anyway, in the same way feltcher described, but end it already!
  8. That Strafe track tho... :) classic!
  9. Postponed until friday because they couldn't fix the valve issues on time :(
  10. Aaand aborted 3 minutes before you send a 70 million dollar rocket in the air because you forgot to close a valve. Wow.
  11. Thanks for that ustream link, I was watching another really laggy stream ( http://www.livestream.com/spaceflightnow ) Clock on hold again now...
  12. Another Legowelt subforum vote, although it's probably not gonna happen :) a main Legowelt thread is fine too though. Here's a thread on some of his ambient stuff - http://forum.watmm.com/topic/83629-occult-orientated-crime-legowelt/ Anyway, he's definitely one of my alltime fave producers, extremely prolific and blessed with the midas touch. Since there's so much ridiculous good Legowelt tracks I'll just post the most recent tracks that I've been completely in love with: https://soundcloud.com/legowelt-official/japanese-planetarium
  13. lol, thanks for ruining that burger for me
  14. Finally remembered to take a picture of my burger! With bacon, cheddar and a baked egg and is called 'the English man'. One of my faves!
  15. No dice too, AMC is also doing this with anything Walking Dead related, never watched the Talking Dead or any previews because of that. Ah well...
  16. Big thumbs down for YouTube's regional block, can't view that first video. This could be a real great show though... Any estimate of when it starts being aired?
  17. Such a magical track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7IO9tLtFYw
  18. I can't even describe my level of jealousness any good memories about it? Ha, I uploaded that vid immediately after release :) you can still read my excaite in the description lol. There were rumours it was Ceephax because Global Goon told watmm about it around 2003/4 (the thread is now gone but the post has been preserved): "the first one is ceephax. He used to live in the room opposite mine. He spent about 4 months working night and day on that track - going through endless variations and numerous complaints from the landlord who lived below us." There's also a couple of pics from the gig (or are they?), the guy on the left looking a lot like Ceephax, not sure if it's him though!
  19. It's time to make a definitive thread on this mix. Basically it's my favourite mix of all time ever since I stumbled upon it at age 12. It's also still my most listened to set ever, but I never could find anything about the tracks played in it except for Yazoo - Don't Go... Over the years I added a few tracks to the list (just like their Ultrasound broadcast which is also almost complete + Aphex's Snowbombing set), but never got very far without proper jungle / hiphop / break knowledge. I do remember going nuts when Ceephax finally released that Turrican track and later when Luke released that Plug track, just because of the nostalgia from this set. I always listened the 55 minute version but discovered years later that there's a 15 minute longer version, with even more acid + jungle + noise, which is exactly why this mix seemed so impressive to me compared to the typical 4/4 techno music I listened to at that age. The eclectic tracklist completely changed my mind about music and from then on I appreciated a lot of different music, so the influence from just this mix really can't be understated. Anyway, any help from watmm to complete this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwUN5LACu2I Albert Cabrera, Carlos Rodgers & Eddie Krakaur - Why AFX - 3 Slothscrape Yazoo – Don’t Go Kimberly - Misjudged Love (Barbarian Berrios Beats) Tod Dockstader – Travelling Music / Eight Electronic Pieces #8 (throughout) Hyper On Experience – Watchusnow Ceephax Acid Crew – Turrican II Victor Gama - Meninos Anjos Desceram A Rua Plug – Drum ‘N’ Bass (14m - 17m-ish) ?
