    my first synth was an MC-505 in ~1999. While it didnt have the greatest sound engine in the world, it was a great synth to learn on because it was all self contained. The sequencer was actually pretty good and it had an arpeggiator with all kind of weird patterns including a bucephalus bouncing ball type of thing. the other nice thing is that it was really easy to record controller movements for all the knobs. also one of the 8 tracks was dedicated to drums with built in roland drum sounds. the fader would change the pitch and if you pitched it down enough the samples would play in reverse. if you menu dived deep enough you could turn on some FM synthesis params. one time it did crash on me and i lost a whole bunch of stuff. i think i got it back somehow but i was on the phone with support for a long time. for a while i was rocking that with a yamaha a3000 and a nord modular v1. kinda wish i could go back to that setup... but nahhhhhh

    soundtoys are worth the money IMO. ive had them for a long time and use them on the reg. i would say mostly filterfreq/crystalizer/microshift and decapitator. on the right drum break, the devil-loc can do pretty crazy thing. they provide free updates from time to time as well.

    he mentioned doing some kind of album based on AI and sequencing via TidalCycles in an interview but I dont remember which interview it was.

    in four years trump will be 78. he's obese, mentally deranged, will be facing year of lawsuits, and might very well go on to prove people can catch covid twice. i dont think he's coming back. his kids might but i dont think they have whatever mix of insanity, american (lack of) cultural legacy and charisma (if you can call it that) that is needed to pull off what trump did. i think the next con artist will be much more clever and we wont know until it's too late ?

    I’ve been following this page to cut through the noise- https://www.270towin.com/2020-election-results-live/ they update their models based on the current state of things and at time of writing give Biden a 57.9% chance of winning. That’s down from earlier but still not the worst. I don’t know how accurate it is but I trust it over the gut feeling of some idm nerd in Bristol or wherever

    this was mentioned in another forum (not sure if its been mentioned here) - DekDre Scap B could be a reference to Deckards Dream - https://black-corporation.com/product/deckards-dream-mk2/ that would explain a lot of the vangelis type sounds on signs as well. so far im preferring Signs but i need to listen to this one a bit more

    i think it's less about them being 'eradicated' than it is fixing all the gerrymandering, electoral college and various forms of voter suppression so that people are represented fairly in the US. The majority of this country never wanted Trump, doesn't want complete gridlock in the house/senate and wants healthcare! Why do the people have to fight their own government for what they want? The last four years have been a power grab for the republicans, if the democrats can take the white house and then senate then they'd better grab back. Fixing the two party system is harder for sure.

    i remember feeling this when draft came out. At the time, Gantz Graft sounded to me like they were teetering on the very edge and then draft sounded like they had come back from the edge and were trying to explain it to us laypeople
