  1. "Should have left a note" energy hahaha
  2. Like, I'm trying to keep my cool about it but it was a shocking experience. When it begins, it's so unassuming that I just felt so confident like "ah yeah, this will be a nice take" like I knew where it was headed. That swap to the garage/2-step was the first left turn and then those lush af ping-pong stabs started swarming around my head. By 1:22 when that ass kicking beat hits, it's such a "fuckin' hell!" moment. The rest of the track is just....dazzling. I know that's a very Liberace adjective to use but it's just what came to the fore. Yeah, anyway, Skee Team 6 on a tactical mission. I still feel funny because I am truly a Jacques Greene fan and if he's reading this, he needs to know that I buy and love his shit ?

    DANK MEMES

Memesters jest but Toyota putting that twin turbo V6 in the new Tundras demands a lot of surface area for intake. The dank nearly becomes reality
  4. Is the rest of the compilation with 800 bit good? Bandcamp locked me out for overlistening to that track and I don't know if it's worth 9 quid
  5. Not really sure the best place to put it but I felt it necessary to alert fans of the Skee to his mighty, bulging remix body. He's not quite to Feast Beast levels yet but I've got a 6 track "EP" of his mixes open and it stands on its own. In fact, even as a Jacques Greene fan, his mix of "Relay" so utterly outshines the original that it reminds me of the Aphex moments of the 90s where his remix would cannonball the rest of the release out of the water. If you guys know others, let me know! 01 - Plaid - Maru 02 - Keleketla! - Swift Gathering 03 - Wladimir M - Planet E 04 - Konx-om-Pax - Rez 05 - Jacques Greene - Relay 06 - Principles Of Geometry - RAM
  6. It's definitely impressive but the facial transformations to pull this off are endless lol for me. I keep thinking the phrase: "he's achieved Axl but at what cost?"
  7. gd nws... https://speedyj.bandcamp.com/album/vrs-mbnt-pcs-9598-i https://speedyj.bandcamp.com/album/vrs-mbnt-pcs-9598-ii
  8. "Rushup Bank I 12" rushin' up into "Crimson" ? It's OK though--it's an epic motif. Clark couldn't help himself either in the second act of "Hoova".
  9. "gathering up properties" is a Jewish business secret? ??? We got a lot of "Chosen Lords" out there then lol.
  10. Richard could never go full R&B. You guys can hear that sections of this are like 1 click away from Ghost Town DJs - "My Boo", right? ? I have zero problem with it because IDM has long been unseasoned hahaha. What's wrong with some hot sauce or taking the chords to church now and again?
  11. My man turned into in the living "ok" meme when that door hit lol
  12. This is necro'd all to hell but I had a funny (to me at least) revelation when I saw Tront n' the gang live last month. They do a pretty badass reimagining of "Sanctified" lately and for whatever reason, I haven't really revisited that track closely since I was basically a kid. Well, the lyrics are emerging out of my brainstem on autopilot as I bop along and then the "AND IF SHE SAYS 'COME INSIDE'!/I WILL COME INSIDE FOR HER!" line hits. If there are any Bing Bong/Gorilla NEMS fans out there, my brain immediately pulled the needle off the record and I said "ayyy yo! noooo". Funny how the reddest flag possible sounds so romantic or alluring when you're young.
  13. Couldn't think of the best home for it but...man, in my adolescence and early 20s, I really bought into the idea that Warp-era fellers were doing unprecedented things--"Eno? Never heard of 'em" lines from Richard, etc. You really do have to get old to understand that there's nothing new under the sun. Can't believe this is 40 fuckin' years old
  14. It just can't be real in a way. This appears to be an earnest advertisement created by someone who genuinely thought it didn't look like some ghoulish meme rather than a call to maturity. Or maybe they did--the call is coming from inside the house?
  15. Damn that's a stable and clear shot!
  16. Agreed--just reviewed '22 purchases real quick to make sure and there's no question.
  17. Man, Trent showed them how it was done. I had sound complaints for most acts at this thing and I don't know what the sound folks or Trent himself set up for the show but it was devastating. In all my years of live music, I'm not quite sure how they made it so loud yet so crystal clear and spatially tasty. People may fun on me but I don't want to go deaf so I wear gun range level muffs at shows. I legitimately had to readjust frequently because the sound pressures were nudging them off my head. It's wicked that, at 57, he's pulling it off as flawlessly as he did 30 years ago when I first saw him. I haven't heard as much Fragile material out over the years so it was badass to come straight out with "Somewhat Damaged"
  18. I was in LA recently for Primavera. Outside in the melee of folks, a young lad had an Irish flag draped around his naked torso. A black fella came up to him and said "hey, you Irish?" and the lad said he was and they bantered a bit. Black gent walks off but snaps back to tap his shoulder: "oh hey, I forgot, FUCK THE QUEEN!" and the Irish lad's eyes lit up with glee. He went into a drunken tirade that wasn't very legible to my old ears but I did hear "slag" and "fuck" quite a bit.
  19. Will be at Primavera next week principally for Tront but also to take the pulse of the youth of today. 5-6 long years since the heady Day for Night WATMM meet-ups but would love to say "hi" to anybody. Becoming a "Techno O'o" slowly but surely
  20. Man, of all the songs Tom should have tackled on the record, "We Belong" is like the last one imo. I've always loved the unexpected or iconoclastic remix but making Danny's vocals compete against 3 or 4 mix-n-match Shobaleader stems is a strange move. I think it's probably because I like the original too much and can't recalibrate my brain.
  21. I'm not a Peterson apologist by any means but he really gives it to the neckbeards/incels any time the topic comes up
  22. lol blackpilled af but he's not wrong. What actually did the trick was the materialism treadmill, not the collegiate emergence from the Platonic cave. It has kept us in line and out of the revolutions but for how long? It's a complex topic but the problem is that history pretty much concludes in blood on most topics important to the proles (labor, education, living conditions, etc). We're conditioned with non-violent opposition and civil disobedience via the Ghandi/MLK narrative but that only happened twice. The rest of it is a blood bath. At least back in the day, when the coal miners blew up railroad tracks, assassinated company executives and sabotaged operations, the animus was correctly aimed (ignoring broader ethical considerations like omitting friction in physics problems). These days, I'm afraid we'll just consume ourselves in an impotent, tribal rage.
  23. God I loved that part. I still do. It's tough to get gals to grow a good bush because they've waxed for so long that they're now "grossed out" when it starts to come in.
