  1. Yeah he was in the bar the whole time. There were a few complaints when the cigarettes were still in play but it was chalked up to sewage trouble. There's all kinds of age ranges on WATMM but any clubs, concerts, etc in the 80s and 90s were walls of smoke. It's hard to describe how bad it was to those that have grown up in indoor smoking bans but I can totally see how a corpse could decay freely and it not be fully detected. Proper grim about your friend!!
  2. I know this isn't getting us back on track but this happened in Canada. A young DJ was reported missing for a year. When Canada enforced an indoor smoking ban, people were finally able to smell the corpse of the DJ a year later. He had mashed himself into a tight corner in the bar. It was too late for forensics/toxicology but no foul play was suspected. It was hypothesized that he went into a k-hole or had a speed freak out and wound up asphyxiating in the corner. I'm gonna drop some Gwely Mernans now.
  3. She might not realize what she opened herself up to by claiming she has a brother that visits "all the time". Dickspotters may try to angle in that portal lol. Hope not. I hope he gets a Robert Plant-like existence soon. Robert is a huge fan of the Wolves and he used to come to the matches frequently. Allegedly, people kept it casual. One fan mentioned that it was a "how ya doin' Planty" and that was it.
  4. Bro it's like the RSS of "New and Upcoming Releases" feeding directly into your wishlist. I was intrigued by that study of being more generous to your fellow countrymen. That is 100% not true in my case. I deal in Euros and Squids nearly exclusively.
  5. It's a ceiling effect with Skee because every album is certified heat but this one is up there. I love Shred for its meditative qualities, Compro for him showing off and this one for the journey of it. There's bangers of course but it works so well as a long form trip. He's taking a few cues from his Vader Wolfgang and GASing up not only the tunes but the artwork as well. I paid the $21.92 on Bandcamp because homeboy smokes a lot of weed and deserves a reward for his effort.
  6. Motivated to like it but sounds so much like the mashup Limewire days e.g. "halsey_nine inch nails_christina aguilera_smashmouth-mashup.mp3" There's something incongruous about it but I bet the check that showed up to Trent and Atticus was all kinds of right.
  7. Tim and Lonely island are spinning some real gold here. Could be a subforum.
  8. "everybody wanna be Drukqs but nobody wanna lift no heavy ass breaks"
  9. This will be interesting even if you're not into Kilmer imo. The fact that he's captured so much slice-of-life on camera across 40 or more years has the potential to be awesome. I'm afraid this could be a swan song of sorts as well though I certainly hope not.

    DANK MEMES

I've been swiveling all around this snowy Canadian alley for several minutes and...how shidd pand? I checked the white van for a masturbator. The compressor/engine looking thing outside the warehouse is interesting. Some neat graffiti when you leave the alley onto a main road....man, what is it?
  11. Oh man...I've been replaying Borgir meme all the time convinced that it was a kid. This is the specific one I ran into: Never guessed that it was a growth hormone disorder case. The way he says it is like an earworm. One night at work, I just kept muttering "...borgir" at 10-15 minute intervals and then dawdling my head to the song.
  12. Indicates some low humidity at least. Small favors. Imagine a load that goes nowhere soaking your gut, just keeps soaking your hot gut.
  13. This is basically a perfect album I think. Obviously statements like that are subjective by default but I am working on my own album and all of my favorite tracks are like...."yeah, Ultrademon did that tighter and more cohesively". I recently listened to Seapunk start to finish and I was struck with just how good it is. 2013 is now getting to be a long time ago but I feel like all of it still works better than ever.
  14. I know lols but I unironically love this song and when I listened to it in headphones, there's actually quite a bit of stereo thought put into the song. His dry vocals are definitely upfront but the reverbs and other treatments are doing fun things left and right. When he says "I still hear the echoes....*echoes*", it does sound eerily "behind" you. I would never have normally talked about this hahaha
  15. Can save a bit going the Bandcamp way. Bleep kicks up the price on their 24-bit .wav but Bandcamp's .wav option is 24-bit standard if the artist offers it. Instead of Bleep's $14.99, Feed Me was $13.31. A $1.68 savings. That's enough to offset the odd Demi Lovato or Hall & Oates .mp3 from iTunes or Amazon.
  16. "Theme from Ernest Borgnine" is an eternal jam. I caned the hell out of it in '99 when I finally got the CD and plenty of times since so it's my best reference audio. This re-release of Ernie is much more rumbly to me. It was always an "unruly" track from an EQ perspective anyway due to the kick of the drum break running wide open in a pretty wet reverb. It feels like the old Goldwave days when you could apply "Bass Boost" with a value of +1 to +4 to the entire .wav ? "Deep Fried Pizza" is waaaay bass boosted to me but, in fairness and full disclosure, that was a 192 kbps .mp3 FTP snag in 2000 or so for me. Wasn't it vinyl only too? Imagine the signal chain back then lol: Dad's turntable-->SoundBlaster stock soundcard-->buggy encoder. In some ways, I'm definitely hearing the track for the first time. I regard Tom as a musical genius and do not mean to shit on this redux as I have enough problems mastering my own music and making it sound good. I consider my monitors (Fostex PMO.4n) to be neutral and not very bass responsive so others will need to weigh in. Sadly, I don't have any of the original .flacs and my disc was stolen in 2003 so I can't A/B anything. I'm just happy to have this album back. It's a masterpiece and the placebo of 24-bit .wav really enhances my listening experience. Bahaha 24-bit .wav on 42 year old war-torn cochleas yeah right ?
  17. Ol' Tommy "the mensch" Jenks giving us the salad days. Cheers for that and big thanks to prdctvsm for the upload.
  18. >buy all the Analords in 2004-2005 >sell them all in 2007 for cash >pirate the digitals in 2010 because I felt entitled to them having already paid once >suffer from panic attacks and a moral crisis of sorts for a lot of reasons in 2020 >learn about "first sale doctrine" in copyright law (you can't sell a record and keep digitals of it). Analords cannot be mine. >baleet everything that is not either physically in my house or digitally purchased. All pirated booty overboard. >7 months later and the withdraw is hitting. >Bleepstore online for nearly 4 years and no Analord "Feel like pure shit just want her back x"
  19. Both are making use of the drum sounds of the Casio SK-1 from 1986. Have a listen to the drum portions in this video.
  20. Some serious "fine wine" action going on here with Deb. Trueblood is now a long time ago and she still got it goin' way on. Plus, she's sticking with her man even after he developed a devastating disability (genetic blindness). What a gal. Proof of a true Chutes and Ladders God: "son I'm taking your eyesight but you're getting Deborah Ann by your side".
  21. By the time I even started getting my head around this thing, it sold tf out. Appetites are strong out there.
  22. This really nails it. "No More Nightmares" and its associated video is as close as he's ever gotten to full pop and if you just put it on in the background, it could be a kawaii little monkey adventure. A closer look reveals it to be an Old Testament fever dream with a donkey's jawbone and Abraham willing to sacrifice Isaac. I don't buy physical bits anymore but he tempts me the most because of all the little hidden treats. I appreciate you passing along the "estrangement" Easter egg.
  23. That new track "Pieces of 8" came out and it slaps. It was in the cart and I had vaguely remembered WATMM praise so I just did an impulsive, throw-it-in-the-bin deal at Bandcamp and it was the right move. I've had the 3 Arla EPs, Everything U Need, POLY011, Raft Living and the new single on a run and it's a quality crop of tracks. Aerially, it's like a BOC/SAWII rave. Salvatorin really did say it best about the restraint: edging ??? let's chuck it in so you don't have to go looking:
  24. This is very unfair to Arovane, who has done nothing but make some solid tunes for like 30 years now. They're not "Chiastic Slide" knockoffs either--that's Funkstörung if anything. I thought there had to be at least a baseline rule at any music retailer to "sell the record regardless". Imagine a pizza parlor server responding to questions about a pie with "terrible knockoff of Pizza Hut with a flavor that perpetuates the patriarchy".
  25. Dipping into that Games/Ford & Lopatin backstock to great profit.
