Eastre kinda sounds like something off of Seefeel's Succour innit
  2. I'd never heard of him before, but my approach was quite different anyhow. I was actually processing the sound of the drums, not using them as triggers. Basically I set up a little delay line/waveguide with a vocal filter, and some envelope followers at different frequency bands to tweak the parameters. This is what it sounds like: https://soundcloud.com/th555/the-expected-time-of-the-suns-demise
  3. Lol that sounds a lot better than the mentally challenged furby sound I managed to produce.
  4. Alternatively you can do a lot of that stuff yourself without too much hassle. I once played a cowbell with a solenoid using just the gate output from a korg sq-1 and a MOSFET on a breadboard.
  5. They're good IMO, can get quite aggressive sounding, which is a bit too much for me and my synths most of the time, but they do slight drives nicely, too. You can see a full list of the effects here, a lot of them are imitations of existing pedals. https://www.zoom.co.jp/sites/default/files/products/downloads/pdfs/E_MS-50G_FX-list_v3.pdf
  6. I got a MS-50G (pic is in studio pics), it's basically the same as the CDR but with a bit more effects (including amp models and distortion/fuzz) and a mono input. They're nice little boxes, you can chain 6 effects and most of them are pretty lush, also lots of delays/reverbs with effects in the feedback loop, and stuff like that.
  7. Nice, 505 was like the 2nd piece of gear I ever got. Nowaday's it's sorta replaced by 505 samples on the volca sampler, though. In other news, maybe it's time for me to invest in some kind of mixing console/patchbay type thing.
  8. I like the pedal, the chorus is really nice for analog bass, pitch shifter is cool, and some of the effects get real whacky and melodic when you put them in a feedback loop (e.g. this track uses a chorus/filter loop without any delay). Oh I forgot, the delay is nice too, a tad short but you can do looping with it, and when the delay line clips it gets real gritty.
  9. My deck (see pic) has a switch between normal, metal and CrO2, do you know what happens when you use one of the other ones with a normal cassette?
  10. That's a good idea. Little jam desk, sequencing the blofeld with sq-1 is limited but still pretty fun.
  11. Every time I read this thread it just reminds me to never buy anything by Arturia lol

Super cool track, reminds me of Automatic Tasty a bit. Nice grooves indeed.
  13. Can you buy those at different intervals?
  14. Untidy jam session with a mate type of situation (the ms20 is his...)
  15. QQQ, awesome plaid poster!
  16. Not a lot to see hehe If I build another thing I'll just put it in the same case, still plenty of room..
  17. Made an 8-bit delay/bitcrusher from an atmega88 chip, here's a little jam with it https://soundcloud.com/th555/bidtelay One half of the time knob adjusts the buffer length for fast delay/flanger stuff, while past a certain point it starts to lower the sample rate. You can get pretty long delays this way (almost a second) even though it only has 1 kilobyte of memory.
  18. So that I know which keys to press, of course.
  19. Finally got me a proper keyboard
