  2. Lame? I for one can't wait for its release.

  6. Would love to read more about it! Not a modular-head myself, but I bet it could lead to some nice Numerology experiments.
  7. I'm selling my Roli 25 to buy a StudioLogic SL88 Studio (88 keys, piano-like hammer action, with aftertouch). Jamming on my GF's digital piano for the last year or so has been quite an eyes opener, and I can't wait to play Zebra/Diva/Bazille with it.
  8. Knowing some good monitors is even better. The ones I own don't sound good whenever the music itself isn't. Yet now that I've understood how they voice the music, I've never got such good sounding result in so little time, they're invaluably useful. And it's puzzling how they translate accurately, never heard such constant results across so many different systems.
  9. To each is own but buying great monitors was my wisest gear purchase / decision ever. The better I hear the deeper the sound-design and connection to the music / sound it-self IMHO. And it's so rewarding / liberating when you can trust what you hear.
  10. Valhalla's are endlessly inspiring to me. VintageVerb especially.
  11. Don't know if it's already been posted... Came across that yesterday: https://soundcloud.com/hamad-abdullsetar/jlin-aphex-twin-untitled2017
  12. New Vermona KB?
  13. Funny how they've traveled over the years : from APS's HQ in Poland to the US via my several studios here in France ;) Very glad they've found a new home and new ears to please! Pretty sure you'll enjoy them a lot, looking forward to reading your opinion on these marvelous little boxes ;) I've just ordered all the components to build a new i7 6700k hackintosh. Totally fanless. If I'm lucky I'll be able to run full tracks in Numerology without too much hassle... I'm selling my mint Roli Rise 25. Love it to bits but spending the last weeks improvising on my girlfriend's entry-level digital piano has been an eye opener: I need more octaves. Will certainly go for a NI Kontrol S49: using U-He softsynths as much as I do, the NKS integration is quite appealing. I'm also considering getting Maschine: I'm hmmm demoing the software, and I'm afraid I'm being sold on the Drumsynths. Some very nice physical modeling there.
  14. Just received the Amphion monitors this morning. They already sound incredible right out of the box.
  15. Amphion One15 + Amp100 + cables ordered. I should receive them on Tuesday, can't wait! I would love to keep the APS Coax as well, but unfortunately I can't, so I'm likely to be selling them soon. If anyone's interested, drop me a PM.
  16. @Chesney ;) @sheathe: @bendish: Pretty nicely. Sounds lovely... and wild. Do you use it? As you know, it's a deep, deep beast, and I'm slowly getting more and more familiar with it, shifting from the usual subtractive synthesis and/or usual FM paradigms to more adventurous experiments. It does amazing bass sounds effortlessly (for exemple).
  17. Beta-testing it actually. It feels pretty great, quite responsive! I just need some practice to make the most of it.
  18. Hidden by Siam: Roli Rise 25, SPL Crimson and iPad. Monitors soon to be replaced by a set of Amphion One15s Huge bass traps in the corners of the room (you can see a bit of one in the left part of the pic). The room sounds pretty good I must say.
  19. Have you seen their new ones? https://www.gearslutz.com/board/winter-namm-show-2017-jan-19-22-anaheim-ca-usa/1133892-barefoot-sound-introduces-footprint01-speaker-winter-namm.html I'm about to upgrade from my current APS Coax to Amphion One15 soonish. I've been drooling over them for a while now. Strangely, monitors trigger my GAS more than anything else.
