Crazy hours at my bullshit job and total disregard for work/life balance make it impossible to get anything outside of work done... Need to rant a bit. Worked a 5pm-6am shift on Wednesday night setting up for a huge event, slept all fucking day then had to work 8:30pm-2am tonight, tomorrow I'm scheduled 12pm-5pm, don't have a day off all weekend. Well I must have ran over something on Wednesday night, because on the way home my "Low Tire Pressure" warning light came on, back left tire was really low when I pulled in the gas station, filled it up enough to get home but noticed it was low again tonight while leaving for work, definitely a leak somewhere, fortunately my wife let me borrow her car for the night. I called my boss asking if I could have tomorrow off so I could go get my car fixed and at first on the phone she said, "alright I'll see what I can do." But then texted me like 10 minutes later saying, "a flat tire isn't a valid excuse to call in and that they need me to be there, and blah blah plenty of people don't have cars and make it to work... use public transportation or call an Uber...plus your shift isn't til 12pm you could drop it off in the morning and it'd be done by the end of your shift" (not if I want a decent night's sleep, and that's IF i could even be guaranteed to get it in to a mechanic before 12pm, plus I still need to jack it up and put a "donut" on and account for extra time to get there without a car) with the fucking hours I'm scheduled I'm gonna have to wait til Tuesday to get it in anywhere and get a new tire (fuck you Amanda!) I'm so fucking sick of this job's bullshit, this week is the nail in the coffin, I'm looking for new jobs and planning my exit ASAP.

Acheivement/Trophy hunting is such a pointless way to play games, take your time, enjoy the game... I thought the story in HZD was rather well written. Good game.

Having to liason a late-night ball at the hotel tonight til 2am... it's essentially getting paid to do nothing, however I'm fighting off a wicked cold so I'd rather be at home in bed. Also, I left my wallet at home and I'm parked in the hotel ramp... FFS

Destiny: Forsaken has me hooked again! Good content, the darker tone that 1 had is back and the writing is on point again... The revamps to the weapon system and various economy things are a massive improvement. Destiny actually fun again! The previous Warmind expansion was pretty good as well, but Forsaken has really stepped it up for taking the game in a huge and much needed step in the right direction. Also: Spider-Man looks fun as hell, definitely gotta get on that soon.

Been battling with something interfering with my wi-fi signal in my apartment for a couple weeks now (too many xfinity routers in one area im sure). Reset the router a dozen times, moved it, etc. Finally had to look up how to go in and manually change the signal channels, after a bit of fucking around it seems like I got it. Still probably need a wi-fi range extender to consistently reach the bedroom in the back, but it seems MUCH better tonight than it has been.

Daughters formed after As The Sun Sets broke up, Lex was the frontman for both bands. Daughters themselves started as a grind band, their first "album" Canada Songs is just over 11 minutes long... They've since gotten less grindy, but never less noisy. Hell Songs their 2nd album was their big breakthrough, it's all fucking great.

Got off work at 12:30am, have to go back in at 11am... This group we're hosting this week fucking sucks, but it's a returning client and one of our biggest.

Yeah, I dig both the new tracks as well... Really looking forward to the new album, I love the way this band has progressed. And beyond his odd delivery, Lex's lyrics are darkly poetic. I picked up his poetry book recently and he's a decent poetry writer, he's said in an interview most of the Daughters lyrics since Hell Songs have started as poems.

I think I've told this one in CHATMM before but not in this thread... Years ago, I was driving around with a friend. We were pretty fucking stoned and we went to pick up his gf at the time. She was like the definition of basic bitch, sheltered, rich girl. After driving around a while she's being kinda obnoxious to the point where even my buddy is getting a little annoyed with her. I had played Gantz Graf for him earlier that night, and he while not into IDM at all appreciated the chaos of the track, he knew however that basic bitch wouldn't though... After getting annoyed enough with her he turns to me and says "ghOsty, put that one song on again", I put it on and he cranks the car stereo WAY the fuck up. She's instantly freaked out and overwhelmed by the sounds... and starts shouting things like "What the hell guys? What is this?!" "I don't like this, James (my buddy) turn it off!" "You guys, this is scaring me"... She's in fucking TEARS by the end of the track crying and shouting "You guys, this isn't funny staaaaaahhhp" meanwhile we're geeking out in the front and laughing our asses off at her reaction... lol, fuck you Lauren.

Got an email today that my set is finally shipping out... although it'll still probably take another week or so to get here.

My wife's sister has been living with us since the end of June, she moved here to the Twin Cities for school. The school she's going to doesn't have dorms and she doesn't know anyone to room with yet and her parents can't afford to put her in a place of her own. I'm agreeing to this arrangement out of love for my wife, and as a huge favor to her parents who are pretty great people... but I swear, if current trends keep up I'm going to murder my SIL by the end of the year, she's 19,very much with the teenage mindset still, and also has a bad case of youngest child syndrome...

Started up Mafia III since it's free with PS+ this month, I'd been meaning to play it for a while. Not too far but pretty damn good so far, good gameplay and the story seems well told.
