mike and rich, vulva, kyoshi izumi - a killer track - on of my all time favourite electronic tunes, cylob's diof - first time i heard it: amazing, squarepusher - a spymania one, darcangleo and dmx crew

 

 

 

Interspersed were hilarious clips form the Jerkyboys series, each clip subtley referring to the artist in question... with a speak-an-spell voice naming the artist. It was extrmeley well put togther. I have it on MD recorded from cassette and can mp3 it at SOME point in the future when i get the time/means.

Came out of night billed as Wagon Christ (Luke Vibert) but turned out to be a ‘Kerrier District’ (also Luke Vibert) set with spinning Kerrier District logos lit up on the walls at Cargo and walked across the road when finished. We saw a stand up sign outside with a poster billing ‘DJ AFX’. We paid our £3, went in and it was actually Aphex Twin doing some kind of low key DJ set of dark beats, gabba, elephant song etc.

We saw a few black and white ‘DJ AFX’ posters pasted up to a building site wall down the road on the way out but could find no announcement on the internet afterwards.

Miscellaneous trivia: The last track "Fenp..." on the Empathy Box CD has demos and outtakes if you let it play out. One of them is Flicklife played with electric guitar.

i have this set, it's 1:04:07 in length

also your Live Time (France) radiomix seems shorter than the one I have.

also it might be an idea to show the length + filesize (mb's) from the sets that are linked in the first post. sometimes there are different versions from a single set. often different in length. so it's easy for people to see what is up here.

 

btw, the set at Norway (xx.xx.1999) seems to be the same as Glastonbury 1997...

are you sure the first track is correct in the atp camber sands?

i was told it was an unreleased track (i have the track title, but you wont find anything online about it)...

 

...and it has the scream from afx-elephant song

yeah mate, that tune isn't actually the correct mix. the boogie boys tune listed up there uses the same beats that appear in the first tune that was played (although i've no idea if the boogie boys sampled it themselves). i know the scream your talking about, but i don't think it's the same as the one from that afx tune you're referring to.

 

i think the one he played is mostly likely either a remix or it's another tune that has sampled the boogie boys tune. definitely don't think it's by RDJ though.
