Ever since September 11th, 2001 I havn't needed "proof" that there are anti-Muslim sentiments in the United States, like Fox news claims that there aren't (or at least Laura Ingram did yesterday). Because we didn't go to iraq ? it was a few years back. i believe someone in france criticized america's WAR EFFORT, at which point i remember a news story about the butthurt which led the pentagon cafeteria to rename the "french fries" to "freedom fries." i also seem to remember a bunch of talking heads all over the media cracking jokes at the expense of the french during that time, although there was probably the impassioned defense of the french (remember the american revolution?) and whatnot, still, the patriotic thing to do was to call the french pussies and make fun of them for awhile. I will clarify my opinion. The proposed building is neither a mosque nor on the direct site of the 9/11 attacks. Even if it were either, it shouldn't be a problem because the United States is supposed to have a pluralistic society.
