Ez guys I've downloaded a few games recently for my Ipod Touch. Best so far has to be Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing™ - just absolutely sick as fuck game! Also I've downloaded Ultimate Mortal Kombat which isn't too bad but kinda hard to play with the touch screen. Oh and lasty I downloaded Puzzle Bubble Lite (aka Bustamove) which is pretty fun and has the original music so gets a thumbs up for that!! :D

Did a search for Thunderforce but no love. :(

Anyways I'm looking for recommendations so over to you lot!! ;-)

Sword & Sworcery EP1 is good if you feel like chilling out with a headset on.

Beneath a steel sky is pretty grand, but that might be my nostalgia fooling me.

iPhones are for bennys.

like benny hill? i'm all for it.

I had a lot of cool games but then I accidentally erased my shit when I updated iOS versions, so at the moment I'm really enjoying the calculator app

It's a real nice calculator app, man.

edit: I finally gave into peer pressure and downloaded Plants vs. Zombies, since it was only a buck.

I proceeded to fucking play it for 6 hours straight

Peggle

Angry Birds

Tetris

Cut the Rope

Doodle Jump

Roland 1 & 2

Jelly Car 1 & 2

But I don't really enjoy playing games on the Iphone to be honest. Only the simpler ones. The controls annoys me in most games.

I dearly enjoy my daily session of iphone games while I enjoy a shit. I can only really deal with simple ones because of the often awkward controls.

Drop 7, Tetris, Bejeweled Blitz 2, Angry Birds, Tiny Wings, Early Bird, Doodle Bomb these are all good sort of puzzle arcade type things

Just got Temple Run which is a simple indiana jones run for as long as you can without dying thing that is fun, not sure how long for. Also quite similar Lane Splitter in which you ride a motorbike maniacally through traffic until you die.

Infinity Blade is pretty good mindless entertainment.

Yeah I seen that and looks pretty decent.

It starts off ridiculously easy for a fighting game, and the gameplay is pretty repetitive, but it sets you out on this addictive and pretty looking sisyphean journey of endless character-improvement. Also, as the skill level of your enemies grows, you need to vary your strategy more than in most casual fighting games. The control is pretty good/responsive/intuitive, too.

It's not brilliant, but it has a lot of potential, and I'm hoping the forthcoming sequel really expands on the central idea.

edit: also, it's a great showcase for what the iPad 2/iPhone 4/S can do, graphically. Yeah, it's mostly on rails, but it looks amazing.

Contre Jour is great, so is Collision Effect. pretty much any game by chillingo... also, on ipad, Osmos is fun and relaxing, Pulse is a good time, and Pollushot is fun too. all free iirc. Machinarium was $5 for ipad but goddamn it's a good port.

though, being the nerd i am, my most used app award goes to pdf-notes. :mu-ziq:

in order of enjoyment:

machinarium and osmos, absolutely.

emissary of war. short but sweet!

space invaders infinity gene--kind of like Rez meets space invaders

sword+sworcery ep

chrono trigger--controls are a tad awkward in spots, but otherwise it's comfort food for iOS

dead space

just picked up infinity blade 2 and while similar to the first one somehow i'm enjoying it more
