Hoooray! I'm a whore for Tipper, even his breaks stuff is great though I prefer his hip hop shit. Absolutely sublime sound design.

This is fucking amazing!!!!!!!

I fucking love tipper. He's like the best IDM artist that gets mostly ignored by the IDM crowd and played/praised by the dance music/dj crowd just because he has a few decent dance tracks.

I mean, listen to fleas and itches off of Tip Hop. That shit is like aphex's "crappy". surrounded, relish the trough.

Off Kilter (VIP Mix) sounding beefy..... I love his tendency to make his best tunes better..... can't argue with that...

can anyone recommend any of his earlier albums in specific?

relish the trough.

The last track from this release was played by AFX in his 2005 Torino set.

Also, Surrounded and his last full lenght, Broken Soul Jamboree.

  • 2 weeks later...

Alright... so I've spent the last week and a half or so listening to most of his discography.

I really like what I've heard. A lot of awesome songs in here.

Relish the trough was particularly good for me, mostly because I was a huge tech house fan for years so it was a bit nostalgic, got me thinking about a lot of house parties and stuff I went to over the yeras. I heard a lot of similarities in style to James Zabiela (the cdj scratching etc) of whom I'm also a huge fan (especially his older stuff, 2002-2006). Interestingly enough my favorite James Zabiela mix (Live in the Blue Room, 12/07/2002) has a song by Tipper in it. Surprised I never looked him up.

I am really surprised Tipper doesn't get more rep. Thank you guys for introducing me to this!
