It's like if I created a channel that just showed Seinfeld 24/7 and called it NewsTV. but yeah yeah they built a brand on that name, yada yada. but you get what im saying. UPN could claim that UPN doesn't mean United Paramount Network anymore,or CBS just means CBS and not Columbia Broadcasting System, but we know the etymology...otherwise its just random letters that some executive thought was catchy . to once again clarify, im not complaining about the lack of music videos. I know it's been nearly devoid of it for years, and I haven't watched it in years either (in fact I don't even get MTV on my current cable package). I was just legitimately curious as to whether or not there was any music related programming at all anymore, which jules kinda answered... mtv dropped the music television though. it's no different than calling itself upn, pix, fox, etc.not an MTV defender but just sayin... That's kind of what I figured it was these days. It's all mostly "reality" shows isn't it? I haven't seen much Jersey Shore ever, but I've seen enough clips and Snooki shenanigans to know it's incredibly stupid (and that one douchenozzle on the Roast of Charlie Sheen... god that was awful).
