Vangelis is super good

I would check out Albedo 0.39 , Invisible Connections & Spiral . Those are my favorite mostly electronic/synthesizer albums of his.

(the stuff at around 9:00 - 9:40 in here is very ahead of its time, reminds me a lot of some of 0pns new album actually)

Then he also has stuff that leans more proggy thats also great if you like stuff like Goblin, Gentle Giant or Magma : Heaven and Hell, Hypothesis, The Dragon. I'm less familiar with some of his obscure soundtrack works, but Antarctica is a good one.

(first 10 minutes of this is gold)

I bought Blade Runner OST on vinyl last week. I´ve seen the movie, and listened to the soundtrack a few times, but realized that the end titles track sound so much more familiar than the rest of the album. Has this track been used in a mix or are there any other reason why I´ve heard this track more than the other?

i think the reason you've heard that track more than any other (and lets be frank here) is because it's *completely* free of the porno saxophone. Although Bladerunner is often used as the cornerstone of Vangelis being an electronic music master, practically only the last song and a few other short pieces off the soundtrack reach golden Vangelis levels. The final credits song rules, the rest not so much ( actually shocked its getting so many reissues on vinyl, his other stuff is far better, and none of it has been reissued as far as i know)

blade runner fetishism knows no bounds

not to mention needlessly reissuing digital era stuff on vinyl

Hmm no one mentioned Jon and Vangelis?

Also, I can confirm that the album "L'Apocalypse des animaux" by Vangelis is amazing

shallow rewards guy is harsh, understandable as he tries desperately to disassociate himself from the culture he helped create

Just dropping into Watmm HQ to say an hour ago I discovered Aphrodite's Child 666, so I'm feeling pleased as punch right now :music:

How the fuck did that avoid my radar for so long? A fantastic discovery of epic proportions
