One of my fav tracks "Talk To Me" goes a bit weird (distorts and then goes silent for a few seconds) at about 1:23 into the track. The silence last a few seconds, then it kind of goes back to normal. This only happens on one system (my main rig, which is actually a Mac mini, arcam DAC and old Denon AV amp). I've tried downloading other file formats, and even streaming from the bandcamp site, but, it's the same deal. However, the same track (same file even), played on other systems (headphone amp, portable music player, streaming through bandcamp to mobile device) the track plays fine. That's the only thing that seems plausible as my other systems play the track fine. Weird that it's just this track though. I wonder if the volume dip is causing my DAC to derp. theburglar Posted July 29, 2015 Author Share Posted July 29, 2015 Probably nothing wrong with your stuff, sounds like a built-in limiter responding to the waveform freaking out big time around 1:20 to 1:30.
