Who is this Clitterhaus character? Where did he attend medical school? Is he even a licensed physician? Is his av a picture of his most recent patient? My mind fills with questions like these and more when I gaze upon the glistening words of every perfect post he makes. Clearly he surpasses every other watmmer in every single way, imaginable and unimaginable. Thank god he is here to hand down his pearls of judgment and correct us in our wrong ways. Thank the lord he did not instead resort to patronizing us about our posts which are clearly all 100% crap. I, for one, am convinced that he is the second coming of Christ and that our world is a much better place now t…

Entertainment is a very interesting thing, because although most human emotions, thoughts etc can be explained to some degree though collections of facts and accounts, the concepts of comedy, entertainment, and thrill seem much less intuitive. I think I know what one of the basic underlying premises of being entertained would entail: Being Surprised. Think about it, just about every art medium at least partially relies on this as a means to incur that emotion we would all call "being entertained" Movies (and books): All of the genres rely on the act of surprising the viewer to get the intended results. Horror being the most obvious example and requiring no further…

how did i miss that this has been on since october! damn you uk watmmers for not telling me. just caught up on episodes 1-8 yesterday. good good shit. i expected it to dip but its still a great show. how many episodes in a series? removing the paedos name from the office door was a nice touch malcolm tucker hasn't annnoyed me at all. which i was worried he would after the in the loop movie. the MP from in the loop is back as 'the fucker' the guy from the thin blue line is tuckers rival. i thought he was overplaying it at first but he reminded me of someone so it felt realish. the new female MP...her from (blue) jam... is ok. shes brave and inc…

So I live with a couple friends, and we had a bit of a fly problem. Our compost bin couldn't close securely, and we didn't take out the compost frequently enough, so naturally the fly population rose. We resolved to take the compost our more often, and we got a new seal-able compost bin. But there were still a bunch of flies around, and they were pissing me off. So I set up a bunch of fly traps. They worked super great, and caught most of the flies. Most of my house mates thought this was a great idea. However, another friend of mine just moved in with us, and she was horrified at the fly traps. She said something like "would you like to be trapped in a glass jar and …

Making this quick, can't be assed to fully express what I am trying to get it, but hopefully this makes sense... By having access to all the information in the world, you essentially have all the answers at your finger tips... wanna know what movie to watch, but can't think of any... hmmm well "i'll just search the top 100 movies of all time and pick one of those"... "sweet, this is the 30th best film of all time, I am going to watch this... this is probably most likely one of the best movie of all time"... Now sure its great having this knowledge, but doesn't this create a sort of hive mind...? will people never experience the concept of going out to the video stor…

What's that movie?

Alright we can use this thread if you can't remember the movie title and other watmmers can help u. So I'm looking for this movie, it's a sci-fi one. A bunch of soldiers land on a planet (earth maybe, idk) with a lot of snow and under the snow there live this little creatures which are very fast and can jump up and kill people. I think it was made somewhere in the 90s and I wish I could remember which actors play in it. The title is like one word i believe, the name of the creatures. halp?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogia http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/exchange/node/4159 http://www.subter.com/is/?p=19 I thought I would share this information as there are many creative types of people on watmm who engage in various states of altered awareness to further enhance their creative pursuits. I've actually been unknowingly experiencing this state as I do suffer from constant insomnia where I'm awake for 30 hours and I continually fade in and out of consciousness but not fully achieving pure REM sleep. I actually DO feel the most creative during this, (apart from the flow state) but I just barely have the energy to accomplish anything or even…

how do you wipe? 1 2 3 4

my friend and i were having an intense conversation about pooping and at one point he mentioned that he stands up to wipe. he stood up in the bar we were in and demonstrated, putting one foot up on a stool, like george washington crossing the delaware, whilst shitting. this blew my mind. i told him that this is how girls put tampons in, not how men wipe. when i wipe i resemble rodin's thinker, deep in contemplation. how do you wipe?

further proof that william gibson is a time traveler. this was basically the plot of his 1997 novel, idoru. and that overlayed realtime scrolling chatroom is so cyberpunk, it hurts. [youtubehd]hsikPswAYUM[/youtubehd]
