  1. For me, listening to Autechre is a very private affair. I don't even need people to give positive feedback about it. I know what it does for me and that's enough, really. I have shared some Autechre with mates years ago and that didn't go well. It wasn't a nice experience, but I got over it. So sod 'em, it's private now!
  2. Sean Is Gone Norway Rob Is Stay Bristol
  3. The intro here sounds pretty similar to the one in "on a rolling sea" (old tunes 2). The melody at 1:14 reminds me of the intro in "we've started up" and the secondary melody during "bocuma". The smashing sound in this song is also in "we've started up".
  4. I haven't been able to rid myself of family members to listen to this in total seclusion. This tuesday tho... I have had the track titles to have fun with. I spotted some potential animal references here and there. M4 'lemur' and r 'catz' obviously, and with some imagination the word si00 looks like a tarsier (s being the tail and 00 two big eyes). Maybe there's more? Yes or BS?
  5. Yes, it is. They used it in other things as well. For instance, the catalog numbers for 7"s on Skam start with 'KMAS'. There's also the 'SMAK' series and the 'MASK' series in cooperation with Musik Aus Strom (MAS). At least for MASK100 and 200. Michael Fakesh from Musik Aus Strom wasn't too happy Skam continued the series with MASK300, 400 and 500 under that name after the collaboration ended.
  6. The witch was my first horror movie. I accidentally watched it when I was 9 or so. A gloomy afternoon and I was home alone (mom went to the store). I was browsing the video cupboard. Mostly Disney, but there was a blank tape sitting alone and I wondered what was on it. Fed it to the recorder, hit play and laid myself in front of the tv. Oh my... That opening scene wedged itself deep into my psyche. I was paralyzed with fear and there was no remote within reach. Luckily my mother came home shortly after and I found the courage to get up and switch it off. Otherwise I would have seen the whole thing. Some introduction to the horror genre...
  7. Thanks! So is this a monthly thing?
  8. I heard just a bit and it sounded really nice. Such a bummer the broadcast constantly stopped. I'm hoping for a re-broadcast.

  12. Yes, halfway through it becomes pretty much all Phoenecia.
  13. Could be pretty cool. Sadly, I'm not a big fan of his artwork. I like the design, but not the style. I would really love a whole book of this if Tekkoman did it. The guy now works at Pixar. http://tekkoman.blogspot.com/2008/02/drexciya.html?m=1

  16. I went to see them in 2017 as they performed during a commemoration of the battle of Messines called 'Kraterfront'. The stage was set up in a field in Heuvelland ("hillland") where a row of giant spotlights stood on top of and behind the hills a kilometer or so away, illuminating the beautiful landscape and sky. They started playing when the sun was setting behind the audience. Brilliantly, as the music progressed a full moon was slowly rising over the hills in front of us. Powerful stuff... A short video of the event
