  1. Jesus. Give them some constructive feedback ? There are some good recruiters out there, but I've met mostly tools. Had an instance when they asked me to confirm my resignation and start date before I'd even seen the contract, just a verbal "you have the job." was sufficient for them.
  2. Picked up something new, and a wishlist item. Might have another look later today...
  3. Shit photo, but it's all I managed to take before spooking the blue tits. There was a gang of them earlier, all cavorting off picture. My little garden has been a nice distraction during lockdown. It drilled home how important green spaces are to mental health. However, it's funny to think that while bird song is pleasant for many, it's the avian equivalent of humans out on our high streets and city centres on a Friday/Saturday night.
  4. Will pick these up via Norman Records, EU shipping is very spicy now. Does it say if the vinyl includes a download code? Fingers crossed.
  5. Oh my days, this vocal style is bloody awful (IMO) It's like the pop version of mumble rap. Girl is a Gun, I am not a woman, I'm a god and The Lighthouse would be nice tunes if I didn't dislike Halsey's vocals. Lighthouse is very NIN, would like to hear Trent/Atticus produce more pop.
  6. That gamers will be worried about being scored poorly on the social credit system, and won't be able to afford any new 'puter games...
  7. Saw this on BBC earlier. Wouldn't this lawsuit also make his parents liable for some of the responsibility for the 'cp' photo? He must have real problems if he gets noticed all the time.
  8. It's a lovely package. An album I've ended up buying multiple times now. Digital, then the CD re-issue, and now this. Likely to be the last vinyl release from 12k for a while. Back to CDs again due to the pressing timelines.
  9. I started using PLEX this year. It's been mostly plain sailing with the occasional weird moment. That is until last month, when only remote play would work. Direct play would stop after 3 seconds, f-annoying. Are you able to remote play at all?
  10. Yeah, reports of around 2-3 trillion dollars of precious metals/REEs. The Taliban will make a move for legitimacy as they did before the war in 2001. I wonder what that will do to their current cash crop? Afghanistan is reported to be responsible for 85% of the world's heroin market (circa 2010 numbers). America/NATO didn't make a dent in production in the time they were there, despite spending billions. Opium has kept the Taliban coffers overflowing, even with their attempted "banning" of farming just before the war started in 2001. The spice must flow.
  11. Seems more of a remix than just some heavy sampling, never heard it before.
  12. I was being too harsh, just a change in taste, and irritated by the diminishing returns of the books past Lord of Chaos (IMO) Book 1 is a good piece of fantasy world building. I remember the day I picked them up, I couldn't put down Eye of the World. Hope you enjoy it.
  13. Great first goal by Canós. Brentford had some very good chances, nearly caught Arsenal with their pants down a few times. Let's see if Brentford can keep that energy up throughout the season.
  14. I love HTRK. Psychic 9-5 Club is an amazing album. They've been consistent with their releases, and as you say, they've experimented with each release while maintaining that unmistakable fingerprint. Over the Rainbow was a nice surprise release - I'd like to see the film too, though the reviews have been poor - I really liked Venus in Leo, Mentions
  15. Oh yeah, poo and bottlers. But they have their moments, can play attractive and exciting football. Arsenal will lose tonight. (based on nothing but low expectations)
  16. Kane upfront would be formidable at City. I can't believe he doesn't have break clause. I have a soft spot for Spurs, but Kane is only going to have an empty cabinet if he stays put. Aren't there rumours of Sterling being unhappy at Man C?
  17. I'll give this a go though. I did follow the comic for a while, lost interest halfway through. There's an adaptation of Wheel of Time coming this November. While I think the books are terrible now, I did enjoy them once (the first 6 books?) so I'm curious on how they'll manage this adaptation. I struggle with fantasy shows and films at the best of times, only managed the first season of GoT. No buzz or trailer is a bit odd, considering it was supposed to come this August, and has been pushed to November.
  18. Wolves are amazing predators, great fighters with a hefty bite force. I think you might be right on chimp v wolf, though environment would factor into it. However, I'd still prefer go up against a wolf than a chimp, imagine a shaved chimp coming at you, full of rage... https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-58156772 This September will see the the end of America's longest war, thus drawing the conflict to a safe conclusion, leaving the people of Afghanistan with hope and stability. It will be interesting to see how China's influence will play out in the region.
  19. I think the Human-Goose Conflict needs more analysis. I'd like to see a breakdown of weight and age, pitting the best fighting Geese against average humans. Take the below, the goose clearly had the psychological advantage, a likely win and fatality if this had gone on a moment longer.
  20. Geese are pretty tasty in a fight, though we're not talking swan levels of toughness. I think the poll is indicative of American overconfidence. People would rather go up against a chimp than a wolf. Crazy talk.
  21. New HTRK album dropping on the 17th of September, on their own label. Two of the tracks on the album - Real Headfuck, and Reverse Déjà Vu - were released last years as a single. I'd really love to hear them live one day, enjoyed each and every one of their releases.
  22. New album by CMD094 on Pure Life. This one has been on repeat since buying.
  23. 44, Christ. A friend there once took me to Delphi on a day that hit 40. Intense. When we got there she just sat in the cafe, and said you go do what you need to do, drink water and don't get burnt.
  24. Beautiful blue sky, I like Greece a lot. Making me want to have some ypovrichio.
