  1. If we were treated to a follow up to Whiplash, this is were we'd find Neiman.
  2. Dropping this Friday, quite excited to hear the full album. For people in/close to London, performance at the Barbican next April: https://www.barbican.org.uk/whats-on/2022/event/grouper
  3. Maybe labelling each other isn't best. I retract my earlier disparaging comments. I guess, what I'm trying to say is...
  4. ? That's Gen Z, too emotionally fragile to wipe properly. Gen X smell like the threat of thermonuclear war and Schopenhauerian suffering.
  5. Chelsea have been consistent, that's a "good" result all things considered. How was the game? Will try and watch the highlights. Arsenal were lucky, though they did have some other good chances. Good goal by Edouard for Palace.
  6. Agree on Boomers and Millennials, but Gen X are the greatest.
  7. ^ https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-58963654 Missiles have been very 'in' over 2021. Biden's budget for the DoD is flat when adjusted for inflation - $715 billion for 2022 - but let's see what this new super sonic missile, impact of AUKUS pact, and the Korean weapons build up, mean for US defence spending and 'innovation'.
  8. Aye, I'll be heading out for some nice autumnal walks with SIGN as the soundtrack. si00 has been doing it for me this weekend. God damn, I bloody love Ae. Despite all the new music I get, and all the great stuff I have in my collection, I always return to Ae. SIGN is awesome.
  9. Damn, they both look pretty nice. Tempted by the vinyl now.
  10. I've had a few of his albums sitting in my Bandcamp wishlist, but this made the decision for me. Very impressed, would have fancied the USB too, if I wasn't late to the party.
  11. I thought Raw was great, so looking forward to seeing this. Missed tickets for the BFI festival, so will have to wait until the New Year.
  12. Sure thing, I've booked a ticket. It's on the 16th of November, so I'll update the thread after the gig.
  13. Great recommend, thank you. Intense and claustrophobic, haven't watched a film like this in a while. I love the Fog - and most of Carpenter's films - great ghost story, with a classic Carpenter soundtrack. Needs a rewatch, it's been a while.
  14. Looks like this will be dropping soon. Love all 3 albums, tempted to pick up the CDs as a back up.
  15. Nice, just picked this up. She's playing in London next month, think I'll add it to my gig list.
  16. Preorders up with the usual suspects. Juno do have some samples up already: https://www.juno.co.uk/products/alva-noto-hybr-id/848851-01/
  17. I think this will shape up to be a good season. Let's see what winter brings, and how the table stands in January. Been impressed with Brentford, considering they only have one loss against Brighton - who have been had a good run themselves, with only a loss against Everton - Brentford have been good. Might see if I can get a ticket for a cup game.
  18. Not what I was expecting, though I haven't listened to Mira Calix for a while. Will check out this album. Have a soft spot for both One on One and Skimskitta, the singles Ilanga and Nunu are great too.
  19. New Alva Noto coming this November. He posted some snaps on Instagram today, more details to come soon. Supposed to contain rhythmic and ambient pieces. https://www.instagram.com/p/CUczSNRtnsa/
  20. Shame that site stopped, was a nice project.
  21. Awesome news, ordered. Chiastic Slide might be my fave artwork, so full size will be a treat.
  22. 7L (Seven Layer) Post and display some vintage(https://www.instagram.com/p/CShoxf1DD0t/) and do their own takes. I picked up a few of their jackets last year, still fancy this field shirt.
