  1. Red Clay is by Freddie Hubbard btw (added that onto the end of the wrong sentence).
  2. oh, and Kamasi Washington's The Epic is a great modern exploration of all that kind of thing.
  3. Alice Coltrane - Ptah, The El Daoud and Eternity (the latter has some singing and chanting, but it's really great), Journey in Satchidananda as well. Freddie Hubbard's First Light is really good, one of the more straightforward things here, but with a cosmic edge to it. Eddie Henderson - Realization (kind of a mixture of the cosmic vibes with more of a Miles Davis fusion thing), Red Clay as well (more straight up cosmic vibes/post bop) Herbie Hancock's stuff around this time has a similar feeling as well, with more of that LLS funk thing going on as well, Thrust and Mwandishi are great. Doug Hammond - Reflections In The Sea Of Nurnen (it has a few tracks with singing, but a couple of really top tracks on here). Marcus Belgrave - Gemini 2 (adds some freaky electronic noodlings to the proceedings). Don Cherry is another favourite, he takes things in a more free direction, but lots of crazy influences from all around the world. Eternal Rhythm is good, and Relativity Suite is really great. Sun Ra is another obvious one, but I find a lot of his stuff pretty hit and miss, not sure what to recommend.

  7. sadly Peak Oil isn't something we need to worry about for a long while yet, if it was we might actually get off our asses and start building the nuclear power stations we need.
  8. some good bits in that, was hoping the incredibly sexy future mrs grimes would have made it out alive though.
  9. I had a client once who got scammed twice by Nigerian 419ers. TWICE!
  10. the Punisher movie with Thomas Jane and John Travolta is amazing.
  11. There is something paranoid about thinking that all liberal white people in 60s were only pretending to be in favour of civil rights reform. Again, this was something he himself realised. That speech was given when he was still a member of the Nation of Islam.
  12. it's more that he was trying to french kiss him.
  13. Origi picks the wrong part of the crowd to celebrate at:
  14. the overly negative paranoid ramblings. presumably he thought he was being a dick, because he changed his mind.
  15. Didn't Malcolm X change his tune on whitey towards the end? I'm pretty sure he became less of a dick about it.
  16. When they say more info on the internet, I presume they mean this kind of thing: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-27501689 just google 'Cultybraggan Bunker'
  17. A good idea if electing a Republican as the next president is your desired outcome. Unless Trump ends up running as an independent too, a four way race would be pretty insane.
  18. Seriously? If Cruz gets in then WW3 is back on the agenda. Cruz is a fucking nightmare.
