    the shooter who returned fire is staying silent and so far no one has released his/her name. i think that's on purpose. staying anonymous in all this is the way to go i think. don't need to be doxxed and have a bunch of militant qtards or whoever show up on your lawn but yeah initial media reports and police statements were far from accurate. they called the agitated mass shooter a "homeowner" and referred to it as an armed confrontation. even though witnesses immediately said he showed up, yelled at people and started shooting into the crowd. there should've been a press conference that night or early next morning or something w/the mayor and police chief.

    also, in case you missed it. a right wing nut opened fire on a BLM march in portland last weekend. someone in the march returned fire and shot him. wingnut shot like 6 people including a couple kids. one person died. he lived in an apartment near the park where the march was set to start. walked out and started yelling at some women directing traffic then opened fire. turns out he's a trumper nut (big surprise) who's frequently agitated and is some kind of nazi furry. wtf.

    everyone hears shit differently. perception being what it is. i don't think anyone really sounds like autechre especially the last 10 years or so.. but really forever.. i mean.. you know when it's autechre. reading a grischa lichtenberger interview a couple years ago he was asked about autechre and comparisons etc and his reply was somehting like "you can't make weird music w/o someone comparing it to autechre" or something like that.. but he mentioned how he's mostly focused on sampling and sample processing/mangling and they're mostly about synthesis. regardless i don't think i've ever thought "grischa sounds like autechre" - i think we're all well passed that discussion aren't we? anyone who's been listening for a while knows ae created a new genre like every 3 years or something and "autechre music" is the genre and it's a genre of 1.

    it's not losing subsidies as much as it's price increases using inflation as an excuse. but i think that will just continue as the oil companies get twitchy about new technology and electric cars etc.

    also, news not picking up on fascist arm patches in ukraine.

    some of it is false inflation.. execs deciding to use inflation as an excuse and raising prices. exon/mobile made more profit than previous quarters. inflation angle is bullshit in a lot of sectors i guess. whatever happens in ukraine could change some things though.. at least over there. pipelines and such. but who knows. it's all a shit show. buy a bike. take a bus. walk. stay home. fart in a jar for profit. it's a shame there aren't more trains because no one here knows how to drive.. well.. maybe like 2 out of 5 people do.

    LA had its throat slit by the oil companies long ago. if you've seen Who Framed Roger Rabbit.. that's basically what happened to the street cars and light rail in LA (minus the cartoons). happened everywhere in the US as well in different ways. didn't know gas was so high there now. it's stayed pretty much in typical ranges here in portland.
