    this is great. the way he says "On my own" w/that accent is such a florida sounding accent. north florida in particular. my family is from jacksonville FL so i've heard it often. My aunt and uncle and a bunch of cousins live there. every time i see them i hear that sound. my aunt in particular has that thick jacksonville accent. she's in her mid 70s now.

    because spotify gave them stock in spotify in exchange for use of their catalogues. that stock is worth billions and is buried in the label's financial structure in such a way that the artists will see no revenue from this deal. the labels gave spotify the lowest royalty rate in history. if you scan through the entire thread there's links to articles with all this information as well as other stuff and of course funny memes.
