  1. there's a first part to this w/another interview of someone else.. was his podcast.. simply superior i think it was called. some funny chatting there. it's an interesting listen.. i have it on my ipod and bring it up sometimes when i tire of listening to whatever i've been listening to. the bits about coding plateaus and iOS apps is interesting.
  2. oh that's hard! ibuprofen has been part of diet for a while now. just 1 max strength tablet gets it done pretty well. i have ankle/achilles issues from injuries long ago and have to manage that w/stretching and keeping things loose. it's worrisome and annoying but doc assures my i'm not in any danger of something bad so long as i do the stretches and work on those thing. regardless.. it's fuckn annoying getting older. ice/heat/ibuprofen routine for life it seems.
  3. aw fuck. that sucks. chronic? or injury? i hope things improve soon. can sympathize w/you. chronic conditions are a huge drag. i have to limit my activities and socializing/engagement often because i just don't have the mental/physical energy to deal w/things beyond my own maladies. it's always a nice feeling when things improve and take a turn for the better.
  4. i'm still mad she lost out on the oscar to julia roberts for erin brockovich. makes me want to send flowers to ellen burstyn just thinking about it.
  5. really wish he'd just fall down a well already. fucking w/all various election results via audits and republicans shitting all over voting rights.. ugh.. turns my guts into a little ball of hate. which i don't need.
  6. ffffuuuuuuuucccccckkkn hell
  7. surprised no mention of an anti-cocaine vanilla bean virtue signaled enema followed by Goop butthole steaming personally delivered by Gwyneth Paltrow herself. "btw I was once neighbors with the greatest living boutique artisan yarn dress maker. she made all my drink coasters" how many names did he drop in that little blurb? you'd think it'd be nice to be anonymous after being sort of famous but i probably don't understand.
  8. oh man.. you need bring this to a head and blow up the things for your own mental well being.. even if it backfires it might be worth it for the catharsis. good luck man.. if you like.. i bet you could have a mediator from WATMM step in on your behalf. edit: you could dox her and we'll all just start calling her w/offers for wholesale priced cucumbers.
  9. i read another story yesterday about declining birth rates and draining rural places that pour into cities.. it's happening everywhere. "the long slide" https://archive.is/855QG it's an interesting read. here's a few paragraphs: All over the world, countries are confronting population stagnation and a fertility bust, a dizzying reversal unmatched in recorded history that will make first-birthday parties a rarer sight than funerals, and empty homes a common eyesore. Maternity wards are already shutting down in Italy. Ghost cities are appearing in northeastern China. Universities in South Korea can’t find enough students, and in Germany, hundreds of thousands of properties have been razed, with the land turned into parks. Like an avalanche, the demographic forces — pushing toward more deaths than births — seem to be expanding and accelerating. Though some countries continue to see their populations grow, especially in Africa, fertility rates are falling nearly everywhere else. Demographers now predict that by the latter half of the century or possibly earlier, the global population will enter a sustained decline for the first time. A planet with fewer people could ease pressure on resources, slow the destructive impact of climate change and reduce household burdens for women. But the census announcements this month from China and the United States, which showed the slowest rates of population growth in decades for both countries, also point to hard-to-fathom adjustments. The strain of longer lives and low fertility, leading to fewer workers and more retirees, threatens to upend how societies are organized — around the notion that a surplus of young people will drive economies and help pay for the old. It may also require a reconceptualization of family and nation. Imagine entire regions where everyone is 70 or older. Imagine governments laying out huge bonuses for immigrants and mothers with lots of children. Imagine a gig economy filled with grandparents and Super Bowl ads promoting procreation.
  10. it was awful. did Fantasy Island come on after it?
  11. had seen some love boat back in the day.. mostly reruns i guess.. i know someone who made a low (no) budget indie movie and tried to get captain stubing for a part and was told by his agent that "captain stubing doesn't get out of bed for less than $60k" or something like that.
  12. hung out w/him yesterday.. has 2 tracks coming out on vinyl from a label in belgium. i forgot to ask him the label name but will ask him and post it here. edit: @dcom @Extralife here's that vinyl release of some of Ben's stuff on a vinyl comp. https://rrkz.bandcamp.com/album/carjack-city-volume-ii-electronic-boogaloo
  13. if you've not seen CaddyShack 5000 like a normal person then this won't be that funny but... via liartownusa.com https://liartownusa.com/ Nine Inch Smails
  14. everything is psyops. interesting read. direct link: https://religiondispatches.org/in-the-name-of-the-father-son-and-q-why-its-important-to-see-qanon-as-a-hyper-real-religion/
  15. i know he needs to get his comments on record but i don't know why any democrat thinks any republican cares about what they say. they have no shame. seems everyone but senate/house democrats knows this and that the republicans are worthless and a waste of time to negotiate with in spirit of bipartisanship. dems need to grow up and pass their bills w/o republicans whenever possible.. before they lose the mid terms and have no chance of doing anything.
