  1. A new Planet 17 sublabel, featuring the first release of Keith Farrugia aka Sound Synthesis as Acid Synthesis: sweeping, atmospheric acid cuts. Vinyl only, highly recommended.
  2. I miss everything - and nothing - on streaming platforms because I'm not on them.
  3. In internal messages, Facebook staff faulted company over Jan. 6 insurrection (Fortune)
  4. The original Cowboy Bebop series just came to Netflix, it's been yonks since I've seen it, so rewatching. Squid Game was nice enough, but nothing really special - I understand why it's popular. Starting on S2 of Locke & Key; started on Another Life S2, Midnight Mass, and Sisyphus. Finished a second round of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series, watched The End of Evangelion and Evangelion Death (True)2; binged through the Evangelion remake 1.11, 2.22, 3.33, and 3.0+1.01 on Prime Video - I didn't think the remakes are bad, they're... different. Not as carefully constructed or subtle as the original series, but not utter crap either - but I'm a nerd, so I'll get into almost any anime with ease - YMMV. Looking forward to the Wheel of Time on Prime. I've been lagging behind on Billions, should catch up on S5. HBO Nordic will turn to HBO Max next week, so there's going to an influx of things to watch, including Dune (I think), so I'm looking forward to a replay (or three).
  5. Just came back from watching No Time To Die. I've liked Craig's Bond the best, and if you're into what he gets out of the character, you'll like his finale, too - making Bond more humane, emotional, and sentimental, even - but it's still a 007 movie through and through, so don't expect anything too complicated or labyrinthine twists in the plot. It's an entertaining enough way to whittle away almost three hours.
  6. Available from Nuron's Bandcamp, available for a limited time. Original remix w/ vocals here.

    Dune

Exclusive: Dune 2 Has Been Given The Green Light (Giant Freaking Robot)
  8. Spotify and other streaming services propose ‘lowest royalty rates in history’ for songwriters (Music Business Worldwide) I reiterate: fuck the rent-seeking streaming leeches and may they forever circulate through applicable circles of Dante's inferno.
  9. Next up Tipper - Forward Escape ? Jettison Mind Hatch.
  10. A compilation of electro machine music from melodic journeys to rolling dancefloor burners. Highly recommended.
  11. First release on Fourier Transform's digital only sublabel (d). Highly recommended.
  12. A new Cylob EP, out on Friday - short clips above. Cylob Industries CSR014, 8 Tracks, 28'52". I like this an order of magnitude more than Placeholder.
  13. Bass-heavy downtempo glitches, quintessential Tipper. Highly recommended.
  14. Sound Synthesis is one of my favourite electro/breaks/acid producers, almost all of his release are impeccable; a four-tracker of melodic, deep and horizont-hugging electronics for dancefloors and late fall evenings. Highly recommeded.
  15. Dark and deep electro pressure. Recommended.
  16. Electronic space funk from Replicants, electro with a classic, crunchy and breakbeat overtones. Recommended.
  17. Weirded-out glitchy tech-dubs. Recommended.
  18. Melodic synthscapes, ambient and downtempo breaks on Eonlake's first album proper. Recommended.
  19. Various forms of electro business from Int Main, Stranded Wire, Westlake + Hayter, and Alley X. Recommended.
