LFO - Sheath

Well, LFO - Sheath has no thread here.

Track 1 - Blown - is currently blowing my mind. 18 years late. I don't know why it happened, must appeared on shuffle, suddenly it was stuck in my head. Good stuff.

Back in those days, I was like "meh", skipped over some tracks, forgot about it. Same already happened for Advance. I think LFO were "past" back then, we were on other IDM trips I guess.

What about you, (contemporary witnesses of) WATMM? Any preferences on Sheath?

The softer tracks are fantastic, palace-like, very classy in the way they feel refined by substraction. There’s not that much going on, yet it sparkles. Blown could’ve been an instrumental opener on both Homogenic or Vespertine and nobody would have batted an eye.

Meanwhile, the harder tracks just feel... clinical? In any way I don’t care about them, and skip them in the context of the album. Even Freak, which I’d argue is a pinnacle of the kind of electronic music we talk around these parts.

It's all about Millionaire Dogs for me.  The only disappointing part of that track is that it's only 1:53 long ?

this album regularly finds its way into my listening routines.. all the time at work i'd listen to it.. just let it loop a few times throughout the day. great album. so many great tunes and overall just a nice collection of varying tunes.

classic for sure.
