For those that asked here's the poem/rap that won me the check... it doesn't have a title.

I want to stand in a field and lock eyes with the sunrise,

Stare down the light that rises with the day

And if I could take in just a fraction of it's glow.

I'd have all I'd ever need to illuminate my way

I want to run towards the horizons I've never seen,

Hoping to beat the gravities that hold me to the ground.

And if I could find a way to step into the sky

I say sincerely, I might never come down.

I wanna write a song about everything

With every subtle frequency that sinks beneath the skin,

I wanna make everyone pause and listen for a moment in silence

Contemplating why they never stopped before to take it in

You see I see things in patterns and cinematic sequences,

Stumbling through reality what is really real?

The mathematics can only explain what's held by these gravities,

It's left to speculation the things I see and feel.

All the people,

All the colors,

All the sounds,

All around me.

What do I take from whatever I make of it,

And what do I make of whatever I take from it?

Should I just let myself get swept in the wake of it,

Or do I keep pushing until I can break from it?

Do I watch the world burn just for the sake of it,

Or help them see it until we can wake from it?

And who laid these laws out, and oh what do they know?

Scientists have theories, but oh what can they show?

The fact remains: we ride each death solo,

Not one single person knows truly where we go.

I'm no exception only a John Doe,

Trying to make simple sense of my status quo.

Just so you know I'm letting my mind flow

In hopes that eventually it'll make my soul glow.

I play dumb in public,

Get smart through meditation

Mind bounces miles per minute

Probably need some medication

To balance out the chemicals

That flow around my cranium

I face it all with balls of steel

Come taste my titanium

Armor piercing, full metal jacket

I make the track hit hard so you remember this racket

Cause in the back of my mind I've always got this little ringing

I try to drown it out with all my music, rhymes and singing

But this little wasp likes to keep buzzing and stinging

Aims to drive me crazy, I question if it's winning

Fuck that…

I stand strong, a pillar of bones and proteins

Always been the black sheep, I represent my own team

Me Myself and I, and the whole world against us

They know we got the talent, but they still love to test us.

Two is company, but three's a crowd

Me Myself and I tend to get a little loud

They wanna keep pushing just to see what we can bring.

If the bark doesn't bite it doesn't mean a fucking thing.

I love poetry ...it helps move a song, even if the voice isn’t so good. I think about subjects that thrive in the city... it’s night, it’s raining and we see somebody or something out of the corner of our eyes. I look for people whose lives could’ve been beautiful, but something broke. Why? I don’t know.

I've got tons more from my recent trip to the pacific I will post some later. They always seem to get a good shop started, I know I look retarded in pictures so that probably helps.

I have 9 I think I took specifically for WATMM.

Edit: the only way scuba steve/clark/modey would be any funnier is with the skrillex hair added

LMFAO - Props for bringing back B Peppers -

Also - ghosty - congrats bro! spoken word/slam stuff doesn't always translate so well to purely written verse, but in this case the ideas/thoughts/words are extremely strong on their own. Kudos m8, think lots of us (at least I do) have the same internal challenges and struggles, so nice when someone can articulate it. Kickass!
