hello

acroplane.org asked me about 6months ago if i wanted to do an ep. we decided on dec 1st and then i didnt think much more deeply about it until a week ago. i wanted to wait til the last minute before picking the tunes in case i wrote anything worthwile before the release. so this week i started picking tracks and i couldnt resist putting as much music on there as possible. so instead of a 4/5 track ep its become an 11 track lp. i tried to get it to flow so it was listenable as one solid piece of music rather than just isolated tracks. musically its all quite similarly paced, sitting somewhere between dub acid and jungle with plenty of bass. its nice to finally have picked out some tunes to present properly to people rather than the usual method of just giving random bundles of tunes bit by bit. i hope people enjoy it as much as i do.

oooh nice. my mate came round the other day, having been record shopping, raving about this new tune he'd heard in the shop and picked up. it was a wagawaga 12".

haha :D nice one. i had a friend phone me the other day who didnt know about it said he bumped into it when he was record shopping and got a copy. i still havent got my copy yet :) apart from mp3s.

Heard Selected Importer in a mix recently and was very impressed, thought it was unreleased Squarepusher at first. Glad the rest of the album holds up as well, great job!

The first track is really standing out after a few more listens, really mutates in a nice way.

thanks man, the first track is the last thing i wrote actually. redid it from about 3mins, when the synths come in. still listening to it alot myself :D really wanna hear it on a big system now.

is that a jose gonzales sample on calm east?

hehe no man, its me playing guitar. i kinda see what u mean tho :)

yes, i liked first couple of tracks.. and actually got bit excited on this..

but after that it went bit boxcutterish, which i do not like..

all in all.. and indeed high quality release for being free and all..

interesting feedback, although its slightly disappointing to hear. he is always a very obvious person to site as being similar simply because of the melodic content. aside from the tonality i dont think there are any real similarities
