I remember this being a p.mu/warp codistribution thing to get it a wider release. I think it's awesome and most people around these parts seem to like it. Weird that it was almost universally panned by "critics", but then again IDGAF about armchair journalists really so meh.

Really wish he'd take a break from his work with NI and put out an album proper ;).

He did have a thing on facebook around new years, an hour long jam session. I swear he hinted at new material coming up but I can't recall exactly what he said and I can't find the video anymore.

edit: not sure why "p.mu/warp" is hyperlinking to domains for sale.. =/

Yeah he seems to be concentrating on getting wacky with live improvisation, which he is ridiculously good at.

I haven't listened to this album in years, I really should give it a listen again. I found it on vinyl (with cd version included!) for $10 back in 2011, so good.

Family Galaxy is still one of the most innovative electronic tracks I've ever heard, up there with maphive6.1 in terms of being a total prog IDM classic.

Wasn't nuisance gabbaret lounge a jam/improv album too?

I think that's always kind of been his thing, live improv. I imagine at some point he will pull his work for NI together and put out a new album. Someone with a love for music like that doesn't just quit.

Harmuni was a pretty good release though, I liked it.

Guest bitroast

gabbaret lounge a jam definitely sounds like a straight up live set recording, with him talking to the audience being incorpped into the tracks.

also yeah. this album is GREAT. listened to it alot when it came out. can understand why some people might not like it but if you're able to ride the dumb sense of humour it's a fucking great album. sea shanty IDM singalongs about commercialism??

ah yeah, sorry I meant concentrating on the live stuff without worrying about album releases. It'd be nice to hear another "studio" release from him though!

Even if he just captured some of these live performances and threw them on bandcamp! That would be great.
