chenGOD Posted December 14, 2009 Share Posted December 14, 2009 Sonic Youth - Goo, Dirty, Experimental Jet Set-trash no star meh, I think this was by far sonic youth's least interesting period, and sorta embarrassing too. I can see how you might say least interesting, as they were actually writing songs and not 17 minute feedback solos, although it still beats the shit out of most rock released around then. But embarrassing? That's a bit of a stretch I liked it initially and there's still some great tracks, but overall it gets no-where near the level of Bad Moon Rising, Sister, DDN, Nurse, Murray Street etc. and this is coming from someone who has been listening to sonic youth since he was 12. I'll take Goo and Experimental Jet Set over Sonic NUrse and Murray Street any day thank you. And this is coming from someone who's been listening to sonic youth for 20 years.
