Cool

If you get the chance ask him if a new album is on the way...seriously he did so many shows last year, don't people ask him about the new album? why hasn't there been any word on it? goddamn

would like to attend, too. seems to be an interesting location and hey: it's for free! but the journey by train would just be too expensive... i'm hoping for good recordings this year, and maybe a nice quality one of the warehouse track !

he will play gabber and other rave stuff BECAUSE it's a museum ... i think once he said in an interview about a pretty similar gig that he thought about playing more "intelligent" stuff but in the end it was funnier to play a simple rave set.

or maybe a lot of unreleased tracks? good recordings? think it is possible that he's hanging around in the museum before the gig ^^.

I'm gonna chill in Metz and in the museum before the set, I'll ask him for new stuff if I meet him. He seems accessible backstage (

). And I have no material for recording, sorry... But I'll do a review if my memory hasn't been blown out...

thx for posting. (and yes the sound is crap!)

so the next aphex album will be a DVD with a focus on conceptual art combining sounds and imagery..

I didn't record it but it was amazing (it couldn't have been other for my first time), nice fireworks before the show (which he looked at drinking his beer). Very Analord-style, I recognized a few tracks (in disorder): Track #3 from S.A.W. II as an introducer (and as a closer), a slow-downed version of Vordhosbn, PWSteal.Ldpinch.D, Heliosphan. In the end he played a little gabber after the bis but cut it brutally, I think this part was not necessary. It was clear that some people were here only to have their gabber dose and he give them alittle. I heard a lot of disappointment from the crowd. A friend of mine was disappointed that he didn't look at the crowd during all the set nor say goodbye but , hey, stop look listen!

+ some early electro tracks like Derrick May / rhythim is rhythim - the dance, and few MERCK style electronica pieces.

The gabber part (less than half an hour) was like classics and/or analog bubblebath tracks, with sometimes tracks like NOISIA's head knot.

I heard a lot of disappointment from the crowd. A friend of mine was disappointed that he didn't look at the crowd during all the set nor say goodbye but , hey, stop look listen!

I didn't felt the same thing: the biggest part of the crowd, my friends and I were more than happy after this show. And we were here for APHEX, gabber part included.

After the technical problem he faced out (the track which brutally stopped) he looked at us, putting his hands and thumbs up. He did the same after last, but not least, track. Most of us have expected to get more, but here, one o'clock is one o'clock

i noticed something really funny in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_00Kvi-wJk0

he plays a track with a woman saying: "you're about to hear a collection of some recorded stuff. some are good, some are bad. some are just okay..."

and the next thing he does is dropping some unreleased material, at least that's what it sounds to me !
