No love for Black Thought of the Roots? He's been going strong since the early 90s and is still one of the best imo.

.

Was just listening to his verse on dilated peoples Hardhitters, he destroys that track

Hit man for hire pull a hot pick from shelf and spark

The pioneer to represent illadelph is thought

I got these weak niggas pullin theyselves apart

Y’all know the tone the one that hold the throne

That radiate your dome like a motorola phone

Talib Kweli

Mr Lif

Method Man

RZA

GZA

Ghostface

Doseone

I really like J Dilla's rapping but he wasn't technically 'great'.

And B Real of Cypress is technically fantastic and flows like all shit but his content is negligable.

No love for Lord Quas*?

Definitely one of the most original around, even if his flow isn't always the freshest.

others not already mentioned:

Common

Nas

OutKast (both Big Boi and Andre3000)

Jay-Z has great flow, but raps about nothing at all.

Murs, at least for 3:16...his other stuff is kind of hit and miss

*yes I know, he's madlib

my favorite living legends material is definitely grouch & eligh's no more greener grasses. their other albums are hit or miss but that one is pretty much all amazing.

also, opinions on them seem mixed around here, but i think anti-pop consortium are incredible. especially sayyid.
