List artists with similar mood/feel as BOC

Someone already mentioned Oneohtrix Point Never, and although I wouldn't say that OPN and BOC share many similarities in terms of their sound, they share a lot of the same vibes and the feelings that their music induces. This is one of my favorite electronic songs of all times, and reminds me a but of Eno's "An Ending" (which someone mentioned earlier...)

Also a few people already mentioned artists on Ghost Box Records (Advisory Circle, Belbury Poly, Focus Group), and although they sound very different in terms of their production techniques and songwriting these bands are obviously heavily influenced by BOC (particularly Geogaddi). Unfortunately the person who uploaded this to youtube arbitrarily chopped this song up (it's normally 3 minutes long), but it's still easily my favorite Advisory Circle song and I recommend anyone who likes the clip to check out the full album

And of course some of Bibio's pre-Ambivalence Avenue stuff, which apparently (for better or worse) influenced Campfire Headphase...

That Bibio video above - I'm sure parts of it are filmed near where I live. The block of flats at 2.31 are Phoenix Rise in the Wolverhampton area of Blakenhall - filmed from Sedgley Beacon hill. Now demolished! Bibio is a local lad though from what I understand. Where about's in Wolverhampton is he from - anyone know? Sorry to go off topic.

Having listened to a lot of Ghost Box material in the last year or so I feel that this statement is possibly not correct: "these bands are obviously heavily influenced by BOC"

 

Though there are similarities this is not the reason for them. It's clear to me that both BOC and the Ghost Box bands have been heavily influenced by exactly the same source material.

If you listen to late 60s/early 70s British library electronica, schools/kids daytime programming, and, in particular, works produced by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop (which included during its life artists such as Daphne Oram, Delia Derbyshire, John Baker and others), you will hear where both BOC and Ghost Box come from. If anything, Advisory Circle and Belbury Poly don't even attempt to hide their imitation of BBC and ITV TV continuity. I've played Ghost Box music interchangeably with the Radiophonic Workshop to friends and they couldn't tell the difference.

 

The reason why I got into BOC in the 1st place was because they reminded me of early 70s British TV show theme music and TV continuity. And that's the same reason I like Ghost Box. I see them both originating from this source, but it's a reference you won't be aware of unless you were a kid in the 1970s in Britain.

As far as I know, it's BOC, if it's not, I'd love to know the artist. Kind of has that 80's-90's psy-pop vibe.
