holy fucking shit

my inner angry feminist (lol more like my outer) is fucking seething

i am not at all opposed to body hair removal, i have a pretty strong dislike of being hairy so i take care of dat shit, but it should be a personal choice, not something we are shamed into by ads that target fucking pre-teens with downy fuzz.

like oh my god that close up. THAT CLOSE UP.

That hair was nothing, I still only get that sort of hair on my legs and I still shave its dumb really.

When I first started shaving my legs I had a blood bath (literally) on my hands, still have scars to this day.

oh btw; I hate having hair I feel all hot, sweaty and ultimately smelly. I am a naturally smelly person so being streamlined reduces this. I don't care about what adverts say I've never listened to them it's just what works for me.

thats fine, I have no problem with personal preference, but when its forced on kids like they should be ashamed, especially during puberty when that shit can really negatively affect someone's self-image, is reprehensible.

theres a book out called "The Body Project" that focuses on the history of American women's bodies in mainstream culture...and its pretty disgusting what us guys force upon women whether consciously or subconsciously via advertising and popular product consumption.

ok...deep breath....

anyway yeah bitches need to shave

Fuck it I prefer women to have shaved legs and armpits. It's cultural and probably propagated by Gilette but whatever. In some ways it's satisfying to have some simple way to improve your appearance. I feel better after a shave even if nobody notices. Maybe shaving legs keeps women away from plastic surgeons. Bye

I prefer no hair on legs or armpits but a landing strip or dorito chip is preferred.

just one time, I'd like to be fully waxed from the neck down so I could feel like a seal for one day. that would be amazing. I know it would be amazing because when I trim my nose hair I feel like I can breathe better and I imagine that's what my body would feel like.

Cant be arsed shaving my face. Makes me look young, takes ages and make your face feel like shit.

i don't shave. or extremely rarely shave. i'll trim it down but going barefaced is for faggots and women.

lemme guess it was one of their ones with the INSANELY EXPENSIVE CARTRIDGES?

man i hate gilette so much but mostly because the venus is legitimately a really good razor

and really the idea of a razor company for women that is like feminist in nature is kind of uhm. i dunno. it's not really contradictory in terms of modern feminism, but it certainly would make some bad waves in certain areas of the community?

women clearly shouldn't have to shave their armpits, legs, or any of that shit unless they really want to.

that said, I do feel kind of grossed out when i see a lot of hair on a lady

I strongly prefer barefaced. I hate facial hair. I feel cleaner that way. Also I like looking younger than I am.

I recently got an electric razor to keep my stubble at an even 2mm at all times. It has a built in vaccum that sucks up the hair as I shave. Beautiful piece of technology. I recommend everyone get one. Unfortunately I threw out the package it came it, so all I can tell you is that it's made by Phillips. The only drawback is that it emits this horrible high pitched frequency while it's plugged in. But it's so painless and efficient that it's worth it. It sliced through my Movember stachiness like a machete through butter,

re: gillettes razors, there's this great radio show guy in sweden who occasionally combines science and humour, and even more occasionally trolls customer services for corporations that misuse scientific terms for their products. In one show, he calls gillette's customer service regarding an ad for gillette fusion power stealth, and quotes, "you'll really feel the difference from using manual fusion", after which he inquiries, "manual fusion, as in joining two atomic nuclei with your hands?"

I would partly blame porn for the phobia of body hair by both sexes of the younger generation.

I remember having a conversation with this idiot at work which ended with him claiming that if he got a girl home after a night out and she had any pubic hair, he would make her shave it off or chuck her out if she refused.

I'm seen as a bit of a weirdo there because I've said I prefer a lady with pubic hair and also am not that bothered by hairy pits and the like.

On a different tangent, the older men there also prefer to be shaven from head to toe because most of them are ex-army and would originally do it as a precaution against lice and vermin.

Yeah same here. Plus it'd be highly hypocritical if I got grossed out by body hair on a girl, considering how fucking hairy I am.

i heard that shaved armpits either results in more sweating or at least cause more smelliness because hair catches sweat and if it's not there, sweat gets allover your body and clothes.

I think it's in our nature to develop ridiculous expectations of the opposite sex, so that it will be attainable only by the most ambitious trend-followers and make the selection process abit easier.

I also don't think your idiot friend at work really does that, just that he likes appearing picky, but if it was the case it's nothing that would surprise me...

hair is like a manly thing its manly 2 have hair thats why so many men have so much more HAIR than ladies and its natural 4 ppl to be attracted with ppl with LESS hair when theyre females because thats just a naturally feminine trait when the person has less hair its like the same as having u know nice boobies and whatever i guess

but anyways its like why do u wear a bra isnt that the same thing as shaving ??? ur makin ur self look better the feminist stuff is silly imo

mmmmmmmm, well, I'm not just talking armpits. It's clearly a physiological thing, but luckily I've never had a man pressure me into shaving or not shaving.

I do agree that the marketing is terrible, why should women (or men) feel pressured in to having a particular preference.

I personally think that because the men in my family are hairy (lucky I didn't get that gene) Its made me feel disgusted by hair (pubes on soaps/in baths come guys sort it out!) so I don't like it, having said that I like men with stubble/short beards.

yeah i guess my entire thing is do what you want to do because you want to do it, not because a razor company instills shame in you from a young age so they can sell you razors.

personally i like less hair and i like the support so i shave and wear a bra but not everyone will want to do that and THATS OKAY
