My summary.

Seth M was a terrible host. He was rude, insulting and flat. It's one thing to be insulting and funny, like Ricky Gervais, but this guy didn't have the funny part.

The Master was robbed. Should have won best score, best actor (though DDL was a suitable second), best supporting actor and best cinematography (though CW was great)

Scientology? Anyone?

Neither Argo nor Silver Linings PB should have won a single award they got.

Best actress should have gone to anyone else besides Jennifer Lawrence except the little girl from botsw. I'm kinda happy JL ate shit going up the steps. That was awesome.

Best picture probably should have gone too Life Of Pi, though it wasn't my fave.

The whole Jaws Theme cutoff bullshit was horrendously rude. I can see why they need to keep it moving, but Jaws music? Talk about insulting. Cunts.

Sure, people can't be expected to ramble on forever... unless they are certain people.

That whole thing really illuminated Hollywood's fucked up culture of sucking cock.

You chase off people unless they have the power to make or break you. Like Tarantino. Yes, he's brilliant, but they would have let him walk away, come back and start up again all night without giving him Jaws because Hollywood mostly is made up of timid, fearful, brown-nosing chickenshits.

Wtf was up with the musical revivals of Chicago and Dreamgirls? Made absolutely NO sense.

Kristen Stewart was coked out of her mind. But hot.

Rene Zellweger needs to be euthanized.

Sad to see the animated short go to Disney. Nothing beats the "separated lovers reunited at a train station" cliche.

It's pretty offensive that the Simpsons short even received a nomination.

Was hoping for PES...

That's a fantastic short. Love that kind of thing.

So I guess I'm the only one thinking his jokes were misogynist and outdated?

Yes, and worse than that, they weren't funny.

Bad day to be an unfunny / offensive joke teller.

Shock of shocks, The Onion even issues an apology today. I've never seen them apologize before, though I'm sure it's happened.

I haven't either. It was a bad joke - it seems like such a trite detail but I seriously think if they used "bitch" instead of "cunt" it would of been kinda funny and no apology would have been needed.

IRL the girl was apparently kinda smug in interviews but then again 1. she's 9 2. over the last few weeks her shitty publicist has forced her to do endless PR interviews with redundant and stupid questions

the idea of actors and hollywood types nominating and giving each other awards reminds me of the circlejerk of scientists colluding to nominate each other for awards that was exposed by the so called 'climategate' emails that leaked out years back. shit's about as real as a reality show. people actually watching the awards reminds me why these people get to have millions of dollars, sniff coke off of hookers' tits all day, treat people around them like shit, and act like kings/queens in general for being good at pretending to be other people. funnier still is how the words of these people are given more weight than anyone elses', as if being good at pretending to be people proves intelligence. hollywood is like a lottery for high school dropouts and cult members. go there, have a 1 out of a million chance to strike it big, or wind up in porn or with a job cleaning the floors afterwards in the room porn was filmed in. or join a cult and be a slave who gets to clean tom cruise's motorcycles. hollywood is also like a giant drug filled tit that the rest of the country has in it's maw, with drool coming out the side.

every once in a while they make a good flick. and it probably won't win an award.

Then, of course, there's the fact that the movie was a piece of shit.

Yeah I've yet to hear a good review from anyone who actually saw it. My friend who actually lives in New Orleans fucking hated it, and actually made a point to tell people how awful it was, which is something she never does.

Is it me or does K-Stew perpetually act like a pissy 15 year teenage boy?

Explains the limping and probably why she moans aaaand probably why she seems distracted.

It explains the limping. The fact that she's Kristen Stewart explains the moaning, zoning out, and constant playing around with her hair.

Why do people always get so upset about the word cunt? I know it seems to be used more casually over in the UK but here in the states it's like "Oh no you didn't!" everytime the word is dropped. People need to quit being such uptight cunts about a word, it's just a word, I use it all the time...

Here's a lady that shares the sentiment, vehemently: http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/closeread/2013/02/seth-macfarlane-and-the-oscars-hostile-ugly-sexist-night.html

I didn't watch the Oscars, so the article, to me, reads like a mishmash of random instances, but maybe you can discern its contents better.

About Seth Mcfarland's set, it wasnt very funny at all and im not saying "oh his jokes were misogynistic", i dont really care about the subject of the joke as long as the joke is funny, you can joke about my dead grandpa i dont care just make it funny.

That's not even the worst statement The Onion has made... They've made what could be some pretty offensive headlines during the Hurricanes and during the the tsunami and meltdown in Japan... I love The Onion, sure they're offensive sometimes but it's satire, and for the most part it's usually clever as hell. I'm sure it was some soccer mom who got all uppity about it.
