Looks like Bleep have been paying attention to our choices. Good on them.

https://bleep.com/stream/mid%20year%20round%20up%202013

Funny that they have included BOC in there, but not Autechre. Perhaps they have plenty of spare copies of TH lying about to shift??

Great bundle, haven't heard of Majical Cloudz – Impersonator or Julia Kent – Character. Worth checking out?

Man... I don't even know, this year has been fucking incredible as far as electronic releases go. Definitely one of the best years for electronic music in a while.

The Knife - Shaking The Habitual is kind of a big deal. I think out of all the big "comeback" albums this year, it's the best by pretty far.

I really need to listen to that again. I've only played it once since getting it and it's like I always have something more gratifying to listen to at hand for some reason.

It reminds me a bit of Swans' The Seer, in that it's a big, difficult, over-the-top consciously epic album. But like that one, it has a malevolent spirit and rythmic energy to it that makes a lot of other music sound like a wet noodle.

Can 2013 continue its momentum in the second half of the game?

Perhaps some fresh legs ready to come on, but who do they have on the bench?

We'll find out, right after this commercial break.

After the break: Jackson and His Computer Band, Oneohtrix Point Never, Autechre, and many more.
