As a card carrying Ae/BoC fan both Exai and the 'Harvest have delivered the goods.

Drexciya's Deep Sea Dweller III is my fave of the series so far, pretty sure it came out in 2013.

Silver Wilkinson has been a sleeper surprise after that steaming pile of an album that preceded it. Been rocking the Lord Quas compilation quite a bit too, that shit is tiight. On the short side but the quality is up there with the other albums.

Actress' Sliver Cloud ep is pretty dope (and seems to have been slept on), as is Laurel Halo's Green Door - which admittedly sounds 7-13 times better stoned than sober. Cant decide whether that's a good or bad ting.

Otherwise there hasn't been too much on the radar recently worth the effort, hipster shit from dudes with ironic names and stuff for the afx table-leg humpers does't really butter my biscuits.

MBV

Lusine - the waiting room

Also Mountains - Centralia. That's a lovely album.

As many people have said, 2013 has been really good for music.

I listened to the new QOTSA today; it's brilliant! I've never heard any of their other full albums though so I might have to work my way backwards through their discography. I fucking love their guitar tone and overall 'muffled' sound to the recordings.

I only just got Immunity and The Inheritors and haven't heard the new QOTSA (or Yeezus, lol), so I think I'll post towards the end of the month when the deadline approaches.

Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest

Scout Niblett - It's Up To Emma

The Knife - Shaking The Habitual

U-Ziq - Somerset Avenue Tracks

Steve Mason - Monkey Minds In The Devil's Time

TV Mania - Bored With Prozac And The Internet?

Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience (only for about 3 or 4 tracks though)

I imagine Holden's 'The Inheritors' and Jon Hopkins' 'Immunity' will be in there too, once I get round to buying the LPs.

Oh, and 'Yeezus', forgot about that. Doesn't appear to be a pre-order for it on vinyl though. Hmmm.

My "notable mention" list is huge and mostly been mentioned already but others. There are also many albums (Sigur Ros, MBV, Atoms For Peace, Exai) that I not given more than one good full listen to and therefore won't count [yet]

Top 5:

Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest (#1 overall)
Local Natives - Hummingbird
L. Pierre - The Island Come True

Gold Panda - Half of Where You Live

Major Lazer - Free the Universe (this will not be in my top 5 or top 10 at the end of the year, but I think it's underrated and also it's summer so it's fun to listen to)

Top 5 in my cassette deck:

Cyclist - Bones In Motion
Lotide - Moonless
Expo 70 - Beguiled Entropy
Fluorescent Heights – Vendetta In Paradise

Feend - Secrets
