Hey if they wanna dumb down their entire population, it might take a generation or so, but they'll reap what they sow.

they started doing it a couple generations ago though.

florida rejected a bunch of math books that were trying to indoctrinate kids into CRT and homosexual behavior

Quote

Tallahassee, Fla., April 15, 2022 – Today, Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran approved Florida’s initial adoption list for mathematics instructional materials properly aligned to Florida’s Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.) Standards. The approved list followed a thorough review of submissions at the Department, which found 41 percent of the submitted textbooks were impermissible with either Florida’s new standards or contained prohibited topics – the most in Florida’s history. Reasons for rejecting textbooks included references to Critical Race Theory (CRT), inclusions of Common Core, and the unsolicited addition of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in mathematics. The highest number of books rejected were for grade levels K-5, where an alarming 71 percent were not appropriately aligned with Florida standards or included prohibited topics and unsolicited strategies. Despite rejecting 41 percent of materials submitted, every core mathematics course and grade is covered with at least one textbook. Overall, Florida is initially not including 54 of the 132 (41 percent) submitted textbooks on the state’s adopted list.

wtf is "Critical Race Theory"?

Typical west with their race bullshit lol

it's teaching actual history that includes black history as part of american history which obviously is going to be critical of white people and america. so, many white people can't handle it when someone talks negatively of the founding fathers and america in general or white people etc so they're freaking out over it and banning the teaching of anything that looks critically at america's history and often things that are written by black people about their history or even biographies of actual real experiences of black people in history etc.

Okay, well that was interesting.

Black history is like one of the bigger topics in USA and it covers a lot.  I didn't know that it is such a sensitive topic still wtf 2022 and people freaking out about it.

it's always been an issue because it's never been done properly and so much of USA culture and politics and policing has been on people's minds. people of color being 'invisible' has always been a thing. it's structural. when text books in texas teach history of slavery by saying that the slaves were happy to be in america and the master of the plantation allowed them to have BBQs and play music nightly and dance and have families and things were generally good for africans who were rescued from their savage homeland... then, ya know.. there's problems.

rewriting history and hiding history have been standard in USA to make sure everyone buys into the idea that USA is the best place ever and never does anything wrong and is a shining light no a hill and all that mythical bullshit... so much so that most people found out about the tulsa massacre through a tv show (Watchmen) on HBO a couple years ago and didn't believe the massacre was real. Even black people in Tulsa didn't know about it because it was totally white washed etc. there are many things in history covered up the same way so that when people find out the truth and want to share it and change the way history is taught to reflect actual events.. well, (white) people get triggered and can't handle so there's a backlash.

when i went to spain in the 90s for 3 weeks of spanish culture/history/photography.. we had a spanish history teacher who took us everywhere and explained historical significance of things so we understood the meaning. we went to see Picasso's Guernica at the modern art museum and there was a fascist outside, older guy, standing near the door saying some shit.. the teacher grumbled and on the way out after we'd seen the painting.. she stopped and let him have it and was pretty upset ad angry. we asked her what happened and she explained that he was saying guernica never happened and it was all a lie and propaganda etc and he was saying some other fascist shit about general franco... and she put him in his place.

so, imagine if that fascist got to write all the history books. that's what's happened here a lot and it's different in different states in usa because they all kind of do their own thing a bit.. though once standards for text books are created all the states generally buy the same books. so, history gets hidden etc.

BREAKING: FLORIDA GOING FULL WOKE ON DISNEY!

Florida House votes 68-38 to strip Disney of privileged tax and self-governing status: Woke conglomerate pays the price for publicly bashing Governor Ron DeSantis' 'Don't Say Gay' bill

SOURCE LINK DAILYMAIL

Disney have made critics about the "Don't say Gay-law" and now Disney is going under by the FULL WOKE MOB of Florida.

Disney don't want to talk with 9 year old kids about sex. I think Disney is doing the right thing here but they don't stand a chance against the Full Woke crew of Florida.

I guess looking at American history is so bloodstained but fairly recent its easy to be zoom in on the specifics and probably makes uncomfortable reading for some folk, especially if you're the type of person with a blinded nationalistic streak. Whereas Europe and Britain have been at it for thousands of years. Wars, enslaving of everyone including children, rape, pillage and general all round death and destruction its hard for a specific group to exclusively get upset. I remember we studied Victorian Workhouses at school and those conditions the children worked in was sickening. Or sending children on a boat for six months to dig their own grave in Van Diemen's Land. The world was a very cruel place for most people unless you were rich. Its's why I don't subscribe to waving a Union Jack flag about. Nor do I subscribe to something like BLM here in the UK, because most people throughout our history has had a hard time of it. Its just the way the world was.

This was grandstanding for the POTUS primaries, and is not set in stone. The bill wouldn’t go into effect until Summer 2023, can still be challenged in court, amended, or even reinstated on the date it expires. He also targeted several other districts, but curiously not The Villages, hmmm…

i can see trump pointing this out as a faux pas on desantis' part although for desantis he can argue he's protecting the ever delicate "judeo christian values that founded this country"

the smear campaign that disney is now just "woke" might force them to actually re-evaluate their attachment to florida, because this is clearly either an attempt at putting the squeeze on disney, or just plain hubris- unless they can flip this over

whatever the case: desantis is clearly not fscking around. it's pretty much him and tucker (sort of) controlling the narrative for the right as trump has so many problems he doesn't seem to have time to even troll properly anymore and everyone else is still harping on the old narrative about election fraud or jan 6th

so, apparently this is challengable in court and won't take effect until june 2023 so disney has plenty of time to send in the lawyers or whatever.. and the FL government has time to reconsider if they pull their heads from their asses.

also…

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Monday signed a bill to form a statewide law enforcement agency to investigate voter fraud and other election crimes.

  • This agency will review allegations of fraud, initiate independent inquiries and carry out preliminary investigations.
  • The new law also requires DeSantis to appoint special officers to investigate election law violations, increases penalties for third-party collections of completed ballots and mandates more frequent voter list maintenance.

desantis either thinks gillum will materialize from the firmament and ruin his plans, or he just ain't get let anyone disney plus him

A political activist and atheist in Florida is using a contentious law that allows residents to object to teaching materials in public schools to request that the Bible be banned from classrooms and school libraries throughout the state.
