Oh fuck me, I was looking at the matches played. lol too many pints celebrating the victory. thank fuck Mikhi's injury isn't serious. We don't need him against Pardew's bunch of hacks, but will need him sooner rather than later.

Swans have been on the slide for a few seasons now, why they brought in Bradley at such a critical juncture (beyond a few Yanks new on their board) was never going to defy the odds & makes a previously "stable" club now look like prize bunch of pillocks

thats Swans, our Bluebirds & Newport County ALL in respective relegation zones = saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafe, ffs we wont even have the bonus of an ultraviolence derby if Swans do get the drop at this rate

and we got Warnock too, for the love of the gods.....

ps: Mkhitaryan's goal vs Sunderland was sweet as fuck

lads, it's tottenham.

What do you want, a pat on the head?

:flower:

In all honesty, it was well played. Shut down the top striker and probably best player in the league (hazard) and took advantage of the chances you created.

He's a bit shit when it comes to scoring goals, preventing opposition goals, and keeping possession. Otherwise he's class.

We're just past the halfway pole and the race is shaping up nicely, albeit with those expected to be in the chase.  WTF with Costa?  Hoping this throws a spanner in the proceedings and brings them back to the pack but you never know.  Also looking forward to a ManU-FSG draw.

2 of those teams are gonna be on the outside looking in and it might cost a manager his jerb, we'll see. I just included Everton for context as to the rest of the pack, though they're well capable of going on a run with Lukaku and now Schnidie.  The former being the best outright striker in the PL IMHO (just tipping Costa and Ageuro) regularly scoring by sheer will and brute force.  Oh and Zlatan, he's a pleasure to watch too.

United were lucky there, goal should've been flagged for offside in the buildup. Was pretty entertaining compared to the parked bus snoozefest of the previous encounter at least. We bossed the first half for the most part, but United probably had the better chances (Mignolet was very good, and we did have a few good chances ourselves), and then in the second half United changed the system and started to boss things for a while, until Coutinho came on and we got back on top for a bit, but then when Fellaini came on we were forced to sit back and soak up an aerial bombardment (which we did pretty well I thought, conceded very few chances in the 2nd half, in fact we had the better chances, but very poor finishing from Wijnaldum and Firmino). Our midfield trio were very impressive in the first half, made Carrick (one of United's best players in their recent run of form) look terrible, Lallana in particular was outstanding, Pogba had a shocker too.

Klopp's record against the current top 6 is amazing since he's arrived. Best set of results for us there for a long time. Especially away from home, most of our games against them now are all at home for the rest of the season. City is the only away IIRC.

Spurs are really starting to click, the goals coming now. Decent chance of them putting the final nail in City's coffin next weekend, hoping for a draw though. City's collapse has been very strange, they looked very good at the start of the season. They're more than capable of going on a long winning run of course, but it's not looking good for them. Arsenal looking pretty decent too. Nice to see that for all their recent wins United still haven't moved up the table at all, it's still tight, but don't think they'll make the top four.

Chelsea look pretty unstoppable now.
