I just saw 9 tonight. Really awesome for a 3D kids movie type of deal. It was alot darker and more violent/disturbing than I was expecting. The storyline was a bit formulaic but the setting and the art and characters are very cool. Anyone else see this one?

I use the developer versions of Chrome, and a few updates ago, Chrome at work stopped working - it wouldn't load any page, giving me an odd error: Error 0 (net::OK): Unknown error. I was busy at the time, so I went ahead and started using Safari 4 (really good browser, second only to Chrome IMO), and I got used to things, but still missed being able to search in the address bar (how I ever lived without that is beyond me). so i'm kind of drunk and just came back from the 2nd day of the Why? electronic music festival, which is basically all types of electronic music from people in toronto (except for enduser) and I just couldn't get over how much porn was in the live visuals. like almost every artist had straight up porn that was remixed to the music they were playing. and it wasn't the same guy doing the visuals for every artist, like they all had different people, different themes, etc. is this only something situated in toronto but all over as well> it seems kind of weird. like all this porn ive noticed in idm is important. that this means something. there has to be some kind of meanin…

for me in particular i'm thinking up dj names... it seems like everything has been taken. do you think it's fair to share a name with a dj who is probably just as small as me and lives quite a distance from me, even a different country. i obviuosly wouldn't use dj sasha etc or something popular. every name has been taken it seems. curses!

So I was wondering if anyone here knew the science behind alcohol or drug related blackouts, and if there is any type of factual evidence behind the reason a person behaves a certain way whilst blacked out. You hear some people say that that is how a person behaves sans-neurosis, so you are less inhibited, and behave like your true self. I don't really buy that, because my true self isn't quite that stupid. Any kind of anecdotal evidence is appreciated.

So I tried to download (Elemental) from the Warp20 box set, which turned out to be a bad idea. The connection was corrupted or something, and after a few minutes I just gave up. Now, amongst the glitchy, fragmented data I managed to get, I salvaged about two minutes of music, which includes the eight second sample below. From those eight seconds, I can tell that I would very much like to hear this track in full. Problem is, I have no idea what it's called, or who made it.
