I think Ten Hag will do well, I hope he gets the backing he'll need. He should deal with the dressing room issues soon enough. I still feel sorry for Ole. He was a great player in his time, seems like a solid chap. However, he just isn't a premiership level manager. I'd like to see Sancho do well, moving from Dortmund to United has been a total waste, must have knocked his confidence. I've never rated Rashford, even factoring when he's played out of position, I just don't think he's good enough for United. (IMO) Haaland... yeah. While I'm looking forward to seeing him in the Prem, he'll be a nightmare.

Vangelis, damn. R.I.P. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/may/19/vangelis-greek-composer-chariots-of-fire-blade-runner-dies Spoilt for choice, amazing soundtrack work, and I've always had a soft spot for this track, and the album

[Star Trek: Discovery] New Star Trek Series 2017
Scaramouche replied to Nebraska's topic in General Banter
Never clicked with B5, I might try and give it another go, as I did buy season 1. After the initial WTF with Discovery, I quit after managing a few episodes, and haven't bothered with any of the new shows. Zero interest or opinion now. I don't mind that Trek ended with Enterprise for me.- 395 replies

Hope you get some progress on this. I've had some very recent experiences with loved ones waiting on treatments/surgeries, and ICU/aftercare. + I've seen things, you people wouldn't believe, hmmm. ... attack spliffs on fire off the hard shoulder of the A12. I've tried some CBD to help with aches and pains, but didn't really see the benefit. I'd smoke in my younger days, but it would lead to freak outs these days. Smoking something far too strong in Amsterdam after years of absence resulted in a very long walk home, and me thinking I could tell who was Dutch by looking at them, and then trying to work out how I could tell. It made sense at the time, though was freaking me out.

Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto – VIRUS Series remaster
Scaramouche replied to someguy's topic in New & Upcoming Releases
I've been holding off until the details on the box set for VIRUS is released... While I don't need another copy on CD, my initial thought was "That looks nice, I really should get one". -

Sure, I'll DM and avoid cluttering up the thread with Plex.

^ I'm not anti ads, but I'm sympathetic to the concern about Netflix's impending volte-face on AVOD. Once they suckle on the teat of ad revenue, it will fundamentally change the product development. Like you, I cut the cord a long time ago. I've only got access to Prime at the moment - I killed Netflix at the start of the year, and I never had it for more than a couple of months each time - and I'd like to move off of Amazon products as much as I can this year. I've been buying DVD/Blu-rays of classic shows and films off of eBay the past 12 months, and adding to my instance of Plex. That's how I do most of my viewing. I've been in that position a few times in my life - one place really was a toxic - stay strong and clear out when you can.

If Everton go down, it could wipe the club out. At least United did them a favour; as they did for Liverpool last night. Everton play Leicester tonight, and then Liverpool this Sunday. Think I'll be watching the derby. As for Liverpool, I'm not the biggest fan, but I can get behind them on doing the quadruple. Klopp is great manager.

20% drop in share price since the announcement right? Netflix are also claiming the sanctions against Russian lost them 700k subscribers... so with inflation cutting the pursue strings, and broadcasters restricting their IP from streamers... Netflix have announced they'll be supporting an ads tier in the next couple of years. Their platform will be attractive to advertisers, not as many restrictions as broadcasters, they'll have flexibility with content, and a shit load of 1st party data they'll try and leverage; if they commit. It will then be the balancing act of stopping churn, keeping lower tiered subscribers happy. They'll probably work a variable ad load model, rather than slapping prerolls everywhere.

Agreed, shows the Drexciyan lineage, though tempered by time. (IMO) Enjoyed this album, though that's not a surprise.
